Hmm...you submitted your application in Nov and that was after paying just 1 month tax?
Meaning you started paying tax in Oct? That's a weird time frame
*
Huh?

I got mention after paying just 1 month tax?

I mean I applied after paying just 1 time income tax. My second income tax for 2016 will only be coming this year.

I applied after 2 years 2 months working in SG. First 4 month in 2014 total less than 20k so no kena tax. Last year July paid for 2015 so although I'm here for more than 2 years I paid tax just once.

What so special of Sabah and Sarawak that they can withdraw CPF anytime they like without giving up PR?  blink.gif
*
Yeah... There is such rule... Can renounce and take everything and go back to East Malaysia.

Actually the keyphrase is "residing in West Malaysia". I don't know how they verify this though. If you can proof that you are going to reside in other countries or even East Malaysia, I think you have luck getting back all the CPF earlier biggrin.gif

because there is nothing to say?
all you get is a letter saying your application was not successful.
there may or may not be a time frame stated in the letter on when you can try again.
no reason on why it was not successful.  laugh.gif  laugh.gif
*
I think 1 year? Fail then need wait 1 year if not wrong.

QUOTE(deadravel @ May 2 2017, 02:42 PM)
hi guys,  i applied pr, still pending,
but now i moved and my address is different from my initial submitted pr application,

how should i inform them to change to my new address?
got email address to send in the info?
*
Call and ask. Else you won't be able to receive the IPA letter.

QUOTE(NickCls @ May 2 2017, 08:43 PM)
Just curious,
is anyone facing trouble having their maxis/hotlink number on roaming in sg?
it seems like it is not working recently and wondering is anyone facing the same issue as me?
I can no longer request for TAC without my maxis/hotlink number working in sg =(
*
Mi4i is only single sim 4G, another sim will be on 2G.

You can switch you SG sim to 2G, MY sim to 4G then you will be able to connect to network d.

Now Singapura really maju liao... They fully phased out the 2G network unlike in certain area in Malaysia still rely solely on 2G network biggrin.gif

For me, SG government still very reasonable, that time when my PR approved suppose i need to get all the thing done within 1 month, but with some valid reason, i completed my PR everything after 6 month when i know my PR approved.  biggrin.gif  So dont be scare!
*
Not really scare... Just don't want fuss when exiting next week.

Not worry they will take the PR back biggrin.gif

But it's really weird sleep.gif. Didn't notice "Malawi" when the officer asked me check the docs also.

In my honest opinion savings of buying a S plate car is negligible compared to driving Msian car. The headache like high up front downpayment, high insurance, worry of car get stolen in Msia, worry of low fuel when exiting S'pore checkpoint, etc doesn't justify for it. The savings only realized towards the end of your 10 year ownership. Just get a S plate car when u decide to get PR

Since you are aiming for conti cars, I can suggest you to get plug-in hybrid like BMW 330e and find parking lot with charging point when you park at MBFC
*
But it still depends on whether how long is he going to stay in SG.

Let say 5 years?

Then for 5 years don't even bother apply for PR? biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

Another thing is... SG car max life = 10 or 20. Not like M'sia car can go 40 50 60 as long as it don't breakdown and the maintenance cost is reasonable biggrin.gif

Anyone purchased products from iStudio in Changi airport upon arrival in Singapore? They told me that it's taxable.
*
Only departure you can buy. I'm not sure why. But there's such difference.

Even when you shop on ishopchangi, you have to buy before you fly. They will keep and wait for you to collect when you arrive back in SG.

BMW ok leh. Maybe its luck some batches have fault in the parts.
Where got environmental friendly. Talk one thing, do one thing. Got a 15 years old car in SG, heard can extend till 30 years though. Still driving my 1st car in Malaysia age 19 years old when I go back. People so rich can change their car every 10 years  blink.gif .  Can buy a house already.
*
biggrin.gif Why suddenly mention environmental friendly?

Anyway you still own a car in SG what? rolleyes.gif rolleyes.gif

Ya, for cosmetic stuff I don't have issue. First time encounter this only

Electronics can't. I was informed when I saw a lens on discount previously on arrival. It's not "just you" haha...

They say another way of doing it is... Some people buy it during departure to somewhere for vacation. But if you don't want to carry it with you, you can just pickup during arrival. You pay first and pickup later.

Does your new job and current job related?

As for me, my first job is doing testing on food samples. My second job is doing on medical testing lab and related to my study. I though want to give myself experience in this field but then after working, I realized that I don't have passion in this field and I don't want to do this anymore.
*
My advice... Stay on for a bit more. Let say a few months?

Might not be a problem with MOM. But your resume surely going to look a bit calar.

QUOTE(WallChecker @ May 20 2017, 07:38 PM)
Personally, I would take up scholarship mainly because half a million ringgit is big sum and secured job opportunity upon grad (A less risky option - different people has different risk appetite anyway). U have to look into terms and condition drafted on scholarship contract and what/how much compensation of breaking the bond. I'd assume a gradually decrease in payback.
But if u dare to take the risk, assuming everything goes smoothly, I believe u can fully recover your tuition fee in about 3-4 years.
*
Half a million can pay back in 3-4 years? For fresh grad leh... Can meh?
