I am using a pc from many years ago (2016ish i think), specs below. Currently struggling to play Horizon Zero Dawn smoothly, i guess due to the GPU memory not enough..also bought God of War from the recent steam sales. Planning to also buy a mix of either Stray / Baldurs Gate 3 / Death Stranding / Cyberpunk also. Want to keep playing at 1920x1080 resolution

CPU: Intel i5-6500
Motherboard: Asustek H170m-plus
RAM: 1x Adata 8GB DDR4 2400Mhz
GPU: Leadtek GTX 1050
Storage: 1x Samsung SSD 750 EVO 120GB, 1x Toshiba 1TB HDD
PSU: AcBel PCB041 (not sure exact, it puts rated 500W max 550W)
Case: Corsair carbide spec alpha
Monitor: Samsung S24D330 24in 60Hz

[Budget] 2k
Some of my own thoughts..over-reading online past few days lol
- Adding 1 more similar RAM for dual channel + buying new GPU that can go with current PSU, then change others in the future then re-use the GPU
- Change motherboard+cpu+ram first, then later GPU+PSU
Or, will it be much better to save up more for a whole new setup? (my max 6k+)

[Purpose] Playing games at 1080p 60fps at mostly high setting (don't have to be all ultra setting)

The other recommendation of rtx 3060 12gb seems reasonable..happy to maintain at 60fps at the moment (the HZD screenshot was hitting unstable 30fps at 720p resolution lol so a good 60fps 1080p mostly high setting will be cantik already for me)

the msi pro z790-p and Asus ROG Strix Z690-A D4 between these two does it make any differences in term of performance?

I think what TristanX means is only after knowing key info such as the SUPER's performance and price adjustment to both 4080 and 4080 SUPER, we will know whether to get 4080 or 4080 SUPER

I agree with you. Just that with the 4080 SUPER variants out, it's probably gonna be around the price range of 4080 which is the exponential increase anyways.

And if waiting for RTX 50 is not realistic (and assuming they're any good), it sucks, but you just have to settle with RTX 40 (or go with AMD cards if you're purely gaming).

Any recommended place can offer service to build the pc. Buy from their shop and ask them to assemble or buy the component first and ask any shop to assemble?

[Purpose] Your usual day-to-day internet surfing, light gaming (no AAA games), some data works and maybe some light video editing.

[Hardwares that will be re-use] Monitor, keyboard, mouse, headphones..

[Monitor resolution] 1920 x 1080

[Games & softwares that use frequently] Terraria, Stardew Valley, Sims, CSGO, some MMO, Canvas, Excel, Tableau.

[Personal preferences] GF wanted the rig to be either in pink or white. Preferably NVME to store windows and important programs and a separate HDD for games (doesn't care if games takes longer time to load). Either Intel/AMD fine. Stocks cooling should suffice (?).

I know the budget is on the lower side given how prices of parts have already increased vs few years back, but seeing if it's still possible to get something up. Few questions:

1) With the usage/games/softwares that will be used here, can the rig handle them without dedicated GPU (say running 60-100 fps on medium-high settings, no ultra etc)?

2) Would I be better off hunting the parts and build it myself or getting those pre-build PC from those online sites?

Regarding the KC3000, it is using PCIe 4.0 right. Does that mean if I want to put it into a A520M-A Pro mobo (AMD set up), it wouldn't run? 

Just purchased this spec last week and was thinking of having APU for the first few months and upgrading with GPU later. While I'm looking around for a used card and comes to RX6600 & RX660XT, I have been told that the CPU will be the bottleneck of the GPU due to the PCIE3 connectivity compared to the PCIE4 connectivity on 5600/x.

I wasn't aware of this, while I thought 5600G was the exact version of 5600 but with an additional iGPU.

Is that true? If so, then I might be sticking with it for longer period and only do upgrade once together with the CPU and GPU.
