i am questioning about the name or model of the ram but i am checking on the authentic of the ram sold by different sellers.

The cpu in that pc is i5-7500. So the maximum ram it can support is DDR4-2133/2400, DDR3L-1333/1600 only.

So 3200Mhz ram also will be capped the speed.

So what I need is an extra 8gb ram to improve the performance of it if it does.

My graphic card is 1050.

Do u think by adding 8gb ram will help in the speed of web browsing at least?

Ic. Good to know that. Then I can buy from them. Dun mind to spend about rm75 to just add 8gb more ram.

Ya referring to my old pc which is a spare web browsing and productivity work machine now.

But somehow the web browser is not snappy as my 12400F system.

So thinking of adding ram to improve it.

Any recommendation of the ‘value ram’ that can be found on the market now?

So far I checked the cheapest one is the rm75 one sold by the reputable store on Shopee…

Checked out the price, they are about the same or higher than Kingston one.

The Kingston 8gb ram after discount on Shopee is about rm67++ I think it is still worthy to get?

even the price and spec i believe it is no brainer that i should go for this gaming ram instead of the value ram rite?



but my current ram is actually this one... not sure if i am add in the gaming ram above together with my this current ram (seems to be value ram) will it cause any compatible issue or not.

my mobo is ASUS H110M-K motherboard, i think it limits the ram speed to 2133 MHz and support a maximum ram capacity of 32 GB (across 2 DIMM slots). Even though the i5-7500 CPU can theoretically support RAM speeds of up to 2400 MHz, the H110 chipset limits the memory speed to 2133 MHz. So, the highest supported RAM speed for this setup is 2133 MHz.

I bought this for rm70 factoring in the shipping charge too.

Not the best deal but good enough to try to see the performance improved even by a little bit after that.

Last amount of money I invested on this old pc that is purely used as secondary and for web browsing and productivity work only.

Since this outdated ddr4 ram is not going to be used for any of my newer or future pc. 🤪

yes, likely can downclock becos his fury beast can XMP, but both value ram and fury beast one at this price support 3200MHz only.

but no matter which ram, the maximum speed is already capped by my mobo which is 2133MHz....

i know mine is value ram but fury beast is better and more ppl use rite? at least if my PC died next time, at least this can be sold 2nd hand or pass on to anyone else?

I dun mind to take the risk to try out though...

ic... i think for my case, even i dun turn on XMP, it will be limited to 2133MHz since it is the max that the mobo can support, so downclock i think it will not be a concern i guess.

i checked chatGPT, it said the followings, considered good?
Kingston FURY Beast DDR4-3200 typically has a CL16 timing (16-18-18).
Kingston FURY Beast DDR4-3600 usually has a CL17 or CL18 timing (e.g., 18-22-22)

what platform is that? i can get from there actually. since it is rm40 only.

i dare not to anyhow buy ram from anywhere... becos i kena cheated for counterfeit ram before, but likely i managed to return and get the full refund in the end...

This ram should look genuine rite?

finally installed the extra 8gb ram to my old PC.. spent rm58 for this ram stick. i think it is a fair last amount of money to spend on this old rig to maximise its remaining lifespan.

now dual channel. Kingston 1 x 2133 Mhz value ram + 1 x 3200 Mhz fury beast ram = 2400 Mhz? i tot it will be 2133 Mhz - follow the lowest speed ram?

after the extra 8gb ram, can feel that now everything is a bit more snappier... e.g. for web browsing using chome - not sure if it is due to the extra 8gb or the slightly faster overall ram speed, can feel that opening new tab of website in chrome is slighly more responsive... (probably becos chrome is known to be a big ram eater, not sure) or maybe this could be physcological effect also. haha.

Seems like kc3000 is always the only ssd recommended. Just wonder what are the unique things comparing to the rest of brands and models of ssd to make the cp value of it so high?
