From my time in this section of the forum I've yet to see a LonPac agent that is promoting their medical card 😂
I'd think you can just walk in to any of their branches and they will sort you out. Best, Jiansheng |

I used to have Prudential medical. twas paying 250 for medical and I informed my agent I want to increase my coverage she go sign me up for a investment linked plan that shot up my premium to 350 a month. that pissed me off because I was still under covered. so I got upset. surrendered my policy and straight away got a medical plan for 250 myr a month and am now covered up to 1.5 million for medical fees under MCIS. go over to the about tab on the left side and you will see why this is better |

Personally being a lonpac agent, lonpac's medisecure is actually sufficient is you are low on budget as the premium is much lower than other competitors. If you need any questions do PM me.

QUOTE(PLOUFFLE @ Aug 3 2017, 12:52 PM) Lonpac is a general insurance company, we deal with all types of general insurance. their Medisecure Centurial and Plus is under hospitalization and surgical insurance . I have to say if you are comparing the annual limits of each insurance company, Lonpac has one of the lowest because they have not updated their plan since 2015. If you are referring to Unlimited ICU room days, it is depended on the annual limit you have so lets just say you have a RM 500,000 Annual Limit, once all your medical expenses have used up this limit then the policy is no longer in forced.Other plans seperate the medical cost and room and board, so do take note on that. The only thing that Lonpac is good for is their increasing annual limit every 5 years, if you plan to stick with a plan for a long time. |

I also plan to extend my coverage with standalone medical as it provide higher coverage.I got MCIS because the medical coverage is better than Prudential I am looking into MCIS as it does provide very high coverage compare to LonPac. I see some of the item with As Charged, subject to Reasonable & Customary Charges in one of their quote. How and in what circumstances the item will be place under “Subject to Reasonable & Customary Charges” This is very subjective. Anyone could please spell out the condition in full detail? This seem to be like provide the coverage yet holding back??? |

I show the medical card to the hospital then they do the claiming for my mum. During that time, no agent is involved. Its direct between me and the hospital. So I think not so much of a concern when there is a need to claim. This post has been edited by smartinvestor01: Oct 28 2017, 06:08 PM |

Hi All,
I'm currently also in the midst of choosing a medical plan, lonpac is one of my shortlisted plan. As most of other has highlighted the point about the claim procedure, which think should be quite direct if we are admitted to hospital, if the medical card is recognized by the hospital it should be no problem to settle thefor medical bill. However, how about those follow up (before & after hospitalization) medical & doctor consultation claim? Especially if we don't purchase the policy through the insurance agent, how should the claim make? Is it complicated to do the claim? Anyone with experience can advice? |

I'm personally is an insurance agent. When come to claim, i would say quite complicated. Agent has said complicated how about customer? I been dealing a claim and i run to hospital few times and make sure all the receipts and forms and lab report are completed. If buying directly from insurance company then just prepared to do the claim by ur own and run up & down when still sick.

QUOTE(apathen @ Nov 10 2017, 01:29 AM) In the situation of follow up on physiotherapy or GL declined. If you know the process and experience in doing claiming then should be no problem. How about those who are not an agent?. Question to ponder. You may have some up lots of commission tat earned by agent but the process of claiming need to be self service later. |

Also to take note, their limit max at RM250K annually. looking at this statement,... 3. How do I receive the commission rebate? We will rebate 30% off the total commission with respect to your insurance policy to you. The commission rebate will be accrued and paid out to you after each anniversary year of your insurance policy. Only insurance policies where premiums are paid for in cash mode (cheque or GIRO inclusive) will be eligible for commission rebate. In addition to the unlikely event that you terminate your policy prematurely before the policy anniversary year, FSM INSURANCE may not rebate the commission to you in view of any commission clawbacks imposed upon us by the insurers, if any. https://www.fsmone.com.my/support/frequentl...tUniqueKey=2529 thus i think the insurance quotation quoted is BEFORE the discounted premium |

Lonpac are like an underdog, they are not as famous as the common ones out there. But their medical policy is by far very affordable. I did a top-up medical recently (to my existing Prudential) and I get a very high coverage for affordable premium. Well, not sure about the claiming process.. but I guess will never know until it happens. I'm sure as they grow, service will get better. Perhaps eventually when one day become Top-10, then u have no worries about it! If you on budget, can consider this company.

QUOTE(LDP @ May 19 2023, 04:20 PM) Hi folks, May I know what is the difference between MediSecure vs MediSecure Centurial vs MediSecure Plus 2015 ? More or less the same. Just different in terms of annual limit, deductible. TBH I will skipped them cause very low limit. Better to go with medisavers also lonpac. You can check their brochure for more info.
