i kinda give up. their pricing really cannot predict one. graph and exchange rates should give general trend of petrol pricing, but these couple of weeks, it's unpredictable. at first i gauges by taking futures weekly price, but no. then i tried disregard 1 or 2 or 3 or 4 days b4 wednesday, but still no.

perhaps they use 2 or 3 weeks back values to determine price? if that's the case, then we'll see petrol price increase next week and week after.

Govt said it is the world price trend but Brent price is on declining trend and flat at the end of week but price up. So, oil price is not reliable. It is the govt fairy tale that set the price. Govt cannot drop price because already drop last week. This will make gas station operators mad. So, need to increase back to make sure voters vote for BN

Let's see how close the AIP figures are:

RON95 - AIP Petrol
Last week MOPS95 average price from 23/9-29/9 = AUD 0.564 per litre.
Last week average MYR-AUD exchange rate from 25/9-29/9 is AUD1=MYR3.3441 BNM

Thus, calculated MOPS95 price in Malaysia converted to RM is 3.3441 x 0.564 = RM1.8860724
Malaysia Fuel Operator Margins for RON95 is RM0.3173

So final RON95 fuel price is RM1.8860724 + RM0.3173 = RM2.20
Quite close to the RM2.19 price announced yesterday.

Diesel - AIP Diesel
Last week GASOIL average price from 23/9-29/9 = AUD 0.569 per litre.
Last week average MYR-AUD exchange rate from 25/9-29/9 is AUD1=MYR3.3441 BNM

Thus, calculated GASOIL price in Malaysia converted to RM is 3.3441 x 0.569 = RM1.9027929
Malaysia Fuel Operator Margins for Diesel is RM0.2279

So final GASOIL fuel price is RM1.9027929 + RM0.2279 = RM2.13
Not close enough to the RM2.17 price announced yesterday.

Good info. The MOPS average price published on AIP is best refrence so far. Before this they had published the daily price. You should post the calculation on top of the MOPS futures price from CME for comparison.

Just for the diesel I suspect its beause of the 7% palm oil in our diesel here, will look around for info on this.
