QUOTE(housedreamer888 @ Oct 30 2019, 12:38 PM) Try Evpad 3S at my wife hometown not bad come with free HDTV app free for life. Thinking to change my old tvbox for this. Any recommended tvbox better than this and cheper price. Must come with free IPTV apps and movies. No discussion about illegal IPTVs. Moreover don't ever trust free for life thing, most of the time it won't last. If lucky, 1-2 years, if unlucky, 1-2 months, super unlucky 1-2 weeks. Legal way, get a box and install Astro Go and other legal IPTVs apps like UniFi TV.

QUOTE(tharmaraj @ Dec 19 2019, 10:53 AM) If anyone here knows if "MINIX NEO T5 AMLOGIC S905X2 ANDROID 9" can the run the following APK's at ease? 1. AOTG 2. PlayTV@Unifi If my old Minix U1 running on Lollipop can play these well, I don't see why the newer Minix boxes can't.

QUOTE(puchongite @ Dec 19 2019, 11:19 AM) Unless these new devices have gotten DRM L1, that would be the most likely reasons they might not able to run smoothly. These apps can't work with DRM L1?

Everything is good with U1 except for the OS version... Hopefully it can last until my next box, I am just worried some of the apps won't work with this old OS.

QUOTE(voncrane @ Dec 28 2019, 08:35 PM) I think Lollipop should be fine for at least the next year or 2.. After that, I doubt it'd still be the minimum requirement for most apps. We all have to move on at some point.. Oh ya, it's Lollipop. I keep thinking it's Kit Kat. You are right, maybe 1-2 years then it's about time. After all, it's my second year using it, by then my money is already well-spent.

QUOTE(tharmaraj @ Jan 6 2020, 07:05 AM) Thanks and appreciate for your feedback One more....in order to run AOTG and Playtv@unifi - the device needs to be "Rooted" or "Not Rooted". Thanks again for your advice. Not rooted.

QUOTE(drewin @ Jan 17 2020, 12:40 AM) Hmmm I'm using minix neo u9-h and I am experiencing slow download speed with WiFi and wired connection. I've subscribe to unifi 500mb package and when I test the speed at TM speed test it can only reach around 60mbps DL and UL of 100mbps which is weird.... I've also tried speed test on my phone and it can hit 350mbps... Anyone know why? Use 5GHz, I can get close to 200Mbps on my Minix U1 box, router at upstairs. Also using 500Mbps when I'm at hometown. In PJ, my own place - it maximizes my speed too >120Mbps with 5GHz.

QUOTE(subpar @ Feb 3 2020, 08:07 AM) Would like to get some views from Android TV box users streaming Hulu. Most of the time for on demand content, I have no problem at all. But somehow for Live TV (particularly live major sporting or entertainment events like EPL or Golden Globes), I keep getting the error ‘video not available in this location’. I’ve tried switching VPN servers to multiple specific cities but it’s like a trial and error exercise. For one event, LA VPN works. For another event, Phoenix VPN works. It can take me like half an hour just to work out the right VPN to stream it live, so tiring. How do you guys manage this? Any tips or advice is much appreciated. Can’t be going through all VPN servers with guests waiting, every time I wanna watch EPL 😌 I use ExpressVPN on Hulu Live TV and it works.

QUOTE(subpar @ Feb 4 2020, 08:19 AM) Have you tried streaming these major events? Eventually I gave up on Hulu yesterday and went on the Fox app to watch Super Bowl. I don't as I rarely use Hulu these days, will try to stream if I can remember. Will update later.

QUOTE(donhue @ Feb 5 2020, 04:54 PM) Minix Neo U22-XJ's will be officially released on Monday 2nd March 2020. SourceFinally! Not going to be Netflix certified though. After using U1, looks like I'm hooked to Minix and most probably grabbing this unit too. It plays all my apps well.

QUOTE(SHOfrE3zE @ Feb 20 2020, 11:23 AM) I have the Minix U-9H but i can't find the AOTG app in the playstore. Do i need to download the apk elsewhere? if so, please share the link with the latest/best build. You will need to sideload the app. Try searching for the apk from sites like APK pure, it is pretty up to date.

QUOTE(megahertz @ Apr 16 2020, 05:15 PM) might need to install those dish. the easiest way is just use internal DTV or external DTV if ur tv is old, lol Installer comes and install, pay one off payment and just use Astro remote control to navigate. That's all. Most user friendly for senior citizens.

QUOTE(wei @ Oct 21 2020, 03:17 PM) Have not notice frame rate issue. Just Netflix doesn't get steady 4k stream, it always does below. Can tell from blurry images. Strangely it only appear on some show. Will try to ponder around and see what is wrong. Those shows are without 4K?

QUOTE(bowl @ Dec 1 2020, 01:57 PM) Thanks for your advice and guidance. It really help me a lot. I think it is better for me not to terminate the astro service. Again Thank you so much We even have to help our parents to diagnose issue if Astro decoder fails, what's more for a TV box? I will stick to Astro for my parents as they are not technology savvy at all.
