PQ is a subjective perception. HiMedia Q10 Pro relies on HiSilicon's latest Hi3798C V200 SoC and its customizable Imprex Engine 2.0, with HDR-10 4K support. Dolby Vision was initially claimed, but no longer is. The Minix Neo U9-H doesn't boast any such additional engine and has been tested to find no discernible difference in picture quality compared to that of the Xiaomi Mi, Zidoo X9S or current king Nvidia Shield. One would have to test both devices side by side, playing the same content on identical TVs to compare. Alternatively capture uncompressed video signals from both devices for comparisons. IMO, one's TV type & PQ engine is more critical. Especially where up-scaling content is concerned.
my understanding of dolby vision support is the chip has internal 12 bit to 10 bit decoding...but no external pipeline, instead rely on HDR10 to the world...
currently moot as not many dolby vision source...so I wouldn't put dolby vision as priority
the imprex engine however allows more PQ tweaking to ones fancy...something extra is always good imho...but again depends on individual
every 6 months or so I do color calibration my system...imho if one doesn't color calibrate...then I can say PQ is really not that important

for example...I can straight away tell my vensmile PQ is inferior to my himedia q16... right now my vensmile hdmi out goes to my oppo hdmi in...and I use my oppo's darbee and hdmi output tweaking to get to the PQ that I like...
some people see the differences, some can't...some system can show the differences, some cant...some people don't really care...so...it really depends...
