you means chinese input method?
My TV box originally setup by seller have the input for chinese.
But in youtube app, it wont show.
Only can press the qwerty keyboard in youtube app, which only have english.

I asking this actually because I hope something better than Mi Box is out because I notice Netflix stream better in Mi Box than my Panasonic TV Netflix apps as they is no need wait for few seconds to let it clear. Panasonic Netflix apps always run from 480p or even below before it push up to 1080p or 4k.

This is not the case on Mi Box because it straight clear (not sure the resolution as can't check but it looks very sharp and clear instance) and no waiting time. But Mi Box HDR still broken in Netflix and YouTube and I doubt Xiaomi care of it. So long already still no Android TV 7.1 where it is the needs to fix HDR issue. The deep color Also broken. Also 8GB internal storage is way too small.

I know Nvidia is awesome and seems no issue except the price. But I think that the only choice already for now. I probably will get it, so I can watch everything in one box instead of switching box and TV apps.

Apple TV is not the choice because YouTube in Apple TV only 1080p and it
price similar as Nvidia Shield, in this case I rather pick Nvidia Shield.

You tell me how to update...? HTPCs are overpriced and super niche category.. Despite this, much cheaper Android powered boxes can play high bitrate 4K files and 3D games far better than their expensive rival.. 

yea...high end 1 ppl rather go for oppo and pioneer blu ray player.

Oh I can tell the difference.. Sure go ahead cuz value for money is truly in the eye of the beholder. Buying a 43" or heck even 100" 8K TV and sitting just an arm's length away as per a monitor, is anyone with the means' prerogative. Still doesn't make it a great idea. Cuz most know (well except those beholders) that it's a bad idea.  .. I'm not simply dissing on HTPCs, I know some are really good. Just that one has to go wayyyy big to get similar performance as a lowly Android box like the Shield or as per your analogy...OLED..and still have to suffer the consequences of using an OLED TV. Such consequences for many is definitely not worth it. For instance, some HTPC's motherboards alone cost at least $100-200, a GeForce GTX 1050 4GB video card alone is an additional almost $200. Then one has one might have to cough up even more cash for some decent RAM, SSD or at least 7200 RPM internal hard disks...all these cost hundred of dollars and I still haven't tossed in the price of a decent processor and let's not forget the high-end TV and AVR-speakers equipment to enjoy all these .. Convert to MYR...

For some I understand the final figure may not be staggering..So yeah, for the beholder... Please go ahead.. The beauty is truly for your eyes only.

Came here to get a quick update on where TV box tech progress is now. Mine is Himedia Q5, using it for the past 4 years. It has served me well. AM6 looks impressive.

Plan to get a new one though my Q5 is working fine. Why? First, my Q5 is now considered low tech with advances in TV box tech over the past few years. Second, with you know who wanting to control this TV box usage, better get one now before they impose laws which will make it harder to get what I want later.

Appreciate a quick feed\back from gurus here on the top 5 best tv boxes (dont mind paying a bit more to get what I want and that will serve me for the coming years).

P/S  Yes, will need to get a new high tech tv to suit the more powerful TV box! Mine is Panasonic plasma, yes out dated tech now.

Minix devices as a whole have somehow survived each Asterruk app update. So they must have done something right with their HW/SW combo.

Just that I don't know if normal Android apps will be fully compatible with ATV. I like the flexibility of Android apps.

I spoke with both mecool  and myiptv4k vendor..
Both finger ponting to each other.
Mecool vendor claims this box 4k hdr supported and should play smoothly.
Myiptv got all 4k contents in hdr..
Not sure what hdr is this.
Playing this through mecool can see stutter.
Definitely cannot change player its playing in default player from myiptv app

When spoke to myiptv vendor he claims , he tested in h96max seems fine.
First was pointing to bandwidth,  but doenst make sense since my tv netflix app 4k hdr playing smooth.
Later he claimed mecool chipset is s905x2 which is not compatible to 4k hdr.
Chipset has to be above s912 to play 4k hdr from myiptv4k.

But in mecool spec describtion its stated supporting 4k hdr no idea its true or not.

Maybe this box only support 4k not 4k hdr  thats why when play its stuttering ?
