some reviews shown that the x2900xt doesn't perform much different from 8800gts even the 320mb in 1680 x 1050 n lower... so rm1.7k is really a bit high...

QUOTE(almostthere @ May 7 2007, 09:11 PM) for the LAST time, repeat after me, "R600 WILL BE 80nm", expect no less then that. And I can bet 3 pieces of ikan bawal masak sambal it won't occur during R600's lifetime probably it will face the same fate at R520... quickly replaced with R580i'll wait for R680+ then... LOL.. |

QUOTE(jinaun @ May 7 2007, 09:18 AM) probably it will face the same fate at R520... quickly replaced with R580 R580 was not a huge change from R520. Same process, same architecture, they just tacked on 3 ALUs per pipe. But there will be no "R680" on the same process as R600, since it's about as big as it gets already. And i think i would have heard if there was going to be one. They're concentrating on their midrange chips this time because they will do well there, and they already have more orders than they can handle at this point. The next interesting one will be RV670...i'll wait for R680+ then... LOL.. |

QUOTE HD 2900XT is over my budget. Hoping HD 2900XL would offer good performance at 8800GTS 320MB price range. XL? Do we still gonna have XL moniker for this gen? The last one was X800XL I think, or was it X1800XL, can't really remember.. |
