there are risks... for example maxis zerolution 2 years contract, someone sell you his iPhone after 1 years, left 1 more year, and someone didnt pay anymore... your phone will get block, it happened before do take note on this

for loyal subscriber, some telco will waive upfront/advance payment

Zerolution and alikes, because you don't pay anything when receive the phone, it's consider as a loan. They've a right to block your imei. Happened to some of the forummer here already.
But mostly Zerolution set is the problem.

Nope. Should have asked the seller about the receipt. If no receipt then it's really a big risk to take.
But what you can do is, when you deal with the seller, check the imei with Maxis rep. Just do live chat or send PM in twitter to MaxisListens.

someone want to sell ip7+ , previously bought from umobile ( 5th june 2017 ) @ Rm3,545.00 as receipt provided. There's one more receipt total Rm500 claim
seller , plan advance payment maybe ? but receipt lost .

so im now thinking either buy or not. offer given kinda cheap for 1month old ip7+ . Only worry with this block imei thingy & how it works

If the phone I bought was advertised as new, I would want my money back from the vendor. Since the vendor is a well known vendor, I am sure your issue can be resolved.

Just called just now but the lady said i wrongly input the serial number. How many serial number are there? I thought only 1. Even Apple team check also stated the retail purchase date is on march 2017.
