QUOTE(rai_fuzz @ Jun 19 2017, 05:08 PM) for whatever it's limitation is, iphone offers the stability and software support that even Google cannot offer to it's own device (re:Nexus). for that, i think, it's worth the exorbitant price (though now you can own iphone 6 32GB for way lesser price). In fact Google can't even guarantee updates for more than 2 years for their exorbitantly priced Pixel.http://bgr.com/2017/04/28/google-pixel-and...date-android-p/ With iPhones we get at least 4 years if not mistaken. |

QUOTE(ftan @ Jun 19 2017, 08:28 AM) Haha. You are so right. Yeah, the iPhone is boring but it's stable and less frustrating to use. These were my frustrations with the S8: -As mentioned in this thread, nothing much surprising about iPhone but it's a stable product and easy to use. I was surprised you sold off the S8 so fast. I only like the Note series in Samsung but not tempted much. Now, I'm just looking at upgrading my ipad mini 2. And yes, most likely will go for the iPhone 8. 1. Yes, this could be the smoothest version of Android + Samsung Interface combination, but I still find it a little behind iOS. iOS is just that bit faster. 2. Android Apps are still not stable. I don't play lots of games, but I do play "Wheel of Fortune", and it crashes ever so often when I'm running it on the S8. 3. My WhatsApp notifications don't work as well. Sometimes there is a delay till I launch the app, causing me to miss some important messages in a timely manner. Tried disabling every battery-saving option there is on the phone, setting priority on WhatsApp, making it an unmonitored app, etc. Same result. 4. Battery life. Apple's idle standby time is still unrivaled. Even with maximum power saving mode, the S8 drops 2%-3% battery life overnight. The iPhone 7 Plus' battery life doesn't move even without low power saving mode. 5. And who on earth decided on that position of the fingerprint sensor? Facial recognition is fast - when it works. Sometimes it just doesn't. Maybe it's my face, ha ha. So yup, the design of the iPhone is bland and awful when you put it next to the S8, but that's where the good stuffs end for the S8. Beyond the looks, there's just no contest. This article summarizes my feelings: - http://bgr.com/2017/04/26/galaxy-s8-plus-v...est-smartphone/ So here's hoping I don't get called an iSheep or get reported, ha ha ha... With iphone 5, Apple supoorted it for 5 years (from 2012 until now at 10.3). So yeah, support wise Apple devices seems to be the right choice. http://bgr.com/2017/04/28/google-pixel-and...date-android-p/ With iPhones we get at least 4 years if not mistaken. It's worse for OEM type android phones like Samsung or HTC where updates are very slow to roll-out and by the time it does receive one, another major update might already be rolled out. |

QUOTE(Derps @ Jun 20 2017, 09:54 AM) Oh, I have no experience with the iPhone 7 though coz mine's a 7 Plus. I plug out from the charger at about 10.30pm or 11.00pm every night before I sleep at 100% and when I wake up at 6.00a.m. or 6.30a.m. it still shows 100% |

There's an application that I wanted to download but it is only available in US region. My apple account is in MY region and I have apple music subscribed, therefore they do not allow me to change my region until my subscription is over. Will all my subscribed playlist be gone if my subscription end and I change the region to US before I switching back to Malaysia and resubscribe apple music?

my guess that next so called iphone 8 would call iphone pro...as lately Apple likes to name their high end product with a name pro on it.

Maybe due to my iCloud backup scheduled every late night. |

QUOTE(Ch3n_low @ Jun 20 2017, 10:03 AM) I have the 7Plus and friends who have the 7s and the phones don't lag. Maybe yours does due to some technical reasons which is unfortunate for you.Btw, I also have other friends with the 6S Plus and they do not lag as well. |
