Ok but can you confirm I will be able to get them at tomorrow's prices? (i.e. priced dated 27/3, and yes I know forward pricing applies so this price will only be known on Tuesday).
*
Of course it'll.
Your transaction will be considered as tomorrow before 3pm as you had made the payment.
You'll receive payment received/confirmation email from FSM team tomorrow.

the magic word is "Subsequently, an annual fee of RM8.48* will be deducted from your investment amount for subsequent investment on the next calendar year. *GST 6% included."

hmm.gif guess what happens when "next year" you buy 2 or more funds (same fund house or other fund houses).....how much to pay??  biggrin.gif
*
FSM staff told RM 8.48 per fund house per year.
If you buy 2 PRS funds for two different fund houses, it'll me RM 8.48 x 2

I believe it's an disadvantage for a fund size to be too big as it could potentially hurt the performance.  Besides, imagine if you have too big a fund size and supposed to invest 5% of your fund into a certain company, you could potentially be the major shareholder and takeover the company.  This is not ideal.  Therefore, the number of companies the fund manager can invest in would be limited.
*
You can take EPF as a good example.
EPF fund size has been in the growing trend.
To maintain same dividend yield payout with increasing fund size will be a big challenge to them.
They have been highlighting this.

Once fund size limit is reached, in order to increase the limit, need approval from SC or regulator of UT.

Wondering why they can offer 0% for PRS but not EPF-MIS.

EPF-MIS SC is same as per normal SC (up to 2% without promo).

funny no one said anything about 1.75% sales charges permanently now. too small an issue?
*
If 0% and 0.5% and time limited, that'll be a big deal.
Since this 1.75% SC is a permanent feature, not much excitement from it. LOL

FSM Bond - A New Continent For Investors [3 April 2017]

However, with the introduction of FSM Bond, investors could now have access to alternative investment tools to gain exposure to fixed income! FSM Bond serves as a platform for investors to purchase individual bond papers. Through FSM Bond, investors will have an additional option to invest into bonds issued by institutions directly, and enjoy some of the benefits that are not applicable to bond funds!

TAKEAWAY

All in all, Fundsupermart is pleased to present investors with an additional solution that could provide an anchor to portfolio stability. Unit trusts and direct bonds, as mentioned above are two very different types of investment products with distinct sets of advantages and limitations. For investors who are aware of their investment objectives, abilities, constraints, and understand the risks involved, individual bonds can be another option to opt for if they are seeking capital preservation and a steady income stream*! With the launch of FSM Bond, look no further for your desired bond purchase!
