Quick question, I've been seeing everyone talking about switching to ASNB. And I've looked at their sales charge is 5% for non-kwsp (if i am not wrong here).
Would that mean you would have to park it there for at least 2 years for it to be a smarter choice than bonds?

QUOTE(Ramjade @ Apr 25 2018, 11:16 AM) Eh you are mistaken. Fixed price of funds (ASW2020, ASM and AS1M) does not have any sales charges. You buy and sell at RM1/unit. So making it an effective pseudo bond fund/pseudo FD. Avoid those ASG, ASN3 which have 5% service charge and don't perform so good. This means you put in RM1000, you get 1000 unit and when you sell, you get back your full RM1000 + any returns if you follow their rules. Should you don't follow their rules, you only get back RM1000. Oh. Interesting. Do you mind sharing the rules? Do you mean this? Based on the Deed of the funds, ASNB is allowed to close the account should the balance in the account fall below the minimum investment balance as stated in the Master Prospectus. Therefore, unit holders are advised to maintain the minimum investment balance in the account at all times throughout the financial year of the fund(s), to avoid closure of the said account thus affecting future income distribution entitlement, if any.

QUOTE(MUM @ Aug 9 2018, 02:00 AM) I read before, previuosly the cut off date is June and Dec each year, then about 4 months after the cut off date, the incentives would be credited into your funds. (So if you reached 1K in Sept 2017, then the cut off date would be Dec 2017, then the incentive should be credited by End April 2018) promises are and had been made,.....till the finished of the allocated budget of RM165 million. I did ask FSM about this. So, all gov funds are now put on hold until further notice. Let's see what LGE will do.

QUOTE(MUM @ Aug 9 2018, 05:07 PM) the suppose incentives credit date was before GE14 ... what should LGE do? Get MACC to see where the allocated RM 165 million budget goes? Well, apparently there is no budget allocated by the previous government. Not sure. Can check with PPA.
