Anyone still hold AHAM World Series - Global Disruptive Innovation Fund - MYR?
I am in dilemma whether to switch or continue hold
Currently still at -65%
If want to switch. is KAF Core Income, a good fund to go with?
*
I think many believes you will have a better and faster chances of recovering that losses by switching and investing in US focused funds instead of holding that ARK fund or change to KAF core income fund

what are the good choice of US focused funds? I already have TA Global Tech and Manulife US Equity
*
Try use the Fund Selector to filter out?
But becareful, since you already had those 2 funds, ...it will make your portfolio biased on 1 side if you keep looking for more US focused funds

Here is the bond price movement. any additional thoughts?
*
It is good to hv some diversification, just hope that the forex appreciation part plus the coupon rate of it are beneficial in having that bond fund.

I remembered someone posted recently regarding
https://www.fsmone.com.my/funds/tools/facts...d?fund=MYARFSTF

Just not sure which is better if compared with includes the forex exchanges

Hi Peeps,

Just would like to get a 2nd opinion

Nearly all my UT has recovered except 1 which are still in the red (China) UT

Considering that it was a slow and painful recovery pre/post Covid, i am now considering to sell all my fund with the war impending.

Appreciate some thoughts or debate on this.

Thanks

How much % of your equity investment portfolio are in China currently?

Greater China 13.26% -39%

With just <14% of your investment in China out of your total investment, ...I think it is still okay to keep it for a diversified portfolio
Anyway, it is still up to you to decide on your actual comfort level to set your own % of allocation to Greater China.

Usually and normally, ...
The performance of UT funds are based on bid to bid price (NAV to NAV) with dividend reinvested option.
Thus all the annual fees charges incurred by that fund had be included in the fund performance calculations

For feeder ut funds that invested in target funds, ...
There are no double charge of annual fees.
Read its Prospectus for the details

For people with just abt 200k in investment, if diversified just 10% of that 200k into a products that may have higher cost of 0.5% pa.
It may have reduced his profits by just 100 pa.

I think For people with that scenario and does not want the trouble or inconvenience to open this or that, they can accepts the loss of that 100 pa. They maybe happy with what they are doing. Furthermore 100 less out of 200k diversified investment is not much.

Trying my luck to find someone who has done transfer-out from FSM to other platforms. What's the lead time taken for this activity like in actual? I was told 4-6 weeks and that's quite long.
*
Does not relates direct to your situation, as your is opt out and mine in opt in.
Many years ago, when I opt to transfer my PRS funds from other fund houses to FSM , .....I think it took abt a month or 2 to fully complete too

Since it's such a hassle to transfer, isn't it easier to do an online liquidation? What is the benefit of transfer out to make you prefer to go through the hassle?
*
While waiting for his response,
My wild guess,
Could it be due to the saving?
Will there be transaction cost incurred to liquidate and buy it again?
Will there be forex exchange related cost when having that currency converted during inbound and outbound again?

Thanks for the heads-up bro. It wouldn't have crossed my mind that there are additional charges when liquidating unit trust funds. It's unheard of! The conventional UT's from the banks like CIMB, Public, etc have no hidden charges upon liquidation. I expect nothing worse from FSM.
*
I think what forumer "guanteik" posted earlier is not refering to transfer out of unit trust fund purchased and held in FSM platform.

*

15k initial, now is balance 6750 (after -55% losses).

6750 out of 100k portfolio is abt 6.75%.

If there is no more highly focused sectorial or country specific fund in my portfolio, I will just keep this 6.75% fund in my portfolio as my risk appetite still allows it.

Anyone suggestion for a third party Wealth Tracker that can pull data from FSM and local banks.  Kubera had multi-currency  and could selectively pull some FSM SG data but it was too much effort to keep current.
*
Sorry did not answer your question.

Just want to share some good memories...
I recalled many many years ago, forummers Idyllrain and polarzbearz created and shared excelspread sheets that can pull data from FSM MY.
It can compute individually selected ut to show its IRR, the portfolio performance and its IRR too.
In colorful charts and displayed the latest data automatically once user inputted his desired ut into the spreadsheet.
They even shared improvement patches for some time.
Frequent users would use it to share and compare their portfolio monthly here.

and honsiong did shared how to get PRS data from Bloomberg for use in excel.

It had been years, since those selfishless sifus last came here ..

Those were some of the good times in this thread and good times in UT investment before the coming of ETFs

You don't get see it or feel it "deducted".
It was already reflected in the daily NAV computations

does any1 know if FSMONE's PRS fund's performance is not that good compared to Public Mutual PRS?
*
Depends on what fund of the same mandate you want to compare
Depends on what time duration you want to compare

Can try this, to see these past performance data and judge for ypurself.

Just a little note, past performance are not an indicator of a sure continued to be future performance results

The rate of return in FSMOne unit trust is it net sales charges and management fee? For example if my fund is showing a return of 10% should I minus my sales charge(1.5%) and management fee(1.8%) so my real return is 6.7%?

I noticed in FSMone they use the current NAV price and minus the WAC price to calculate the profit but I’m skeptical if this method is accurate ?
*
I think, just think.
The performance should be calculated based on NAV to NAV over a specific time frame.
Compensated and recomputed if there are dividend distribution.
Sales charges are not included but All others charges incurred by the fund are already taken cared of during the daily NAV calculation
