On Stashaway, we don't get to choose what ETF to buy though.

I can agree that ETF > UT any time, but I wouldn't say that Stashaway is the best entry point into ETFs.
Comparatively, there are platforms out there that can let you directly buy into ETFs (Vanguards, etc.) at a very low cost.
For PRS, I usually do the research on FSM, then buy directly via the fund house.

I still don't think PRS is worth it.

I don't get how they calculate the fees etc, but the last time last year I deposited RM500 into my PRS through the online portal (https://www.prsmember.my), only RM476.37 is credited into the account.

That's like 4.7% of my money being deducted in fees, jesus christ.

Just like in stock market if a stock counter announced a dividend the price will drop since the dividend is literally company's money = company asset and hence it will affect the price.

So ya, unit trust works the same way also. In fact, at FSM platform, if a unit trust just declared income distribution recently, there will be a red icon showing you disclaimer that the price (NAV)  might be affected.
Looks like the bank stuff is a bit tricky, mind sharing what's the partial name of the bank so that we can have a guess?
