QUOTE(coolguy99 @ Dec 2 2019, 08:30 PM) Yes,... When I first started investing in SG, I attended these events too. After a few events, no need to go anymore, we know what is going on already. Ad secondly, you will be invited to do local educational sessions. No need to travel to SG anymore. Same goes for other countries too,... |

QUOTE(xuzen @ Dec 14 2019, 02:12 PM) The market reacted due to one single tweet from one person and goes haywire, what is there to update? I hope he loses the election or get impeached before I decide to come back into the game. In the mean time, if you must know, I am 70% F.I and 30% Reits. Xuzen I think there are many in the world who are waiting for the above too, bro... Thing is,.. I heard if Elizabeth Warren wins the presidency, it will be worse,... Next president may also emulate some of the things done by him, since he has set the stage,... eg 'pressing down' China,.. |

QUOTE(l4nc3k @ Dec 14 2019, 09:03 PM) But whoever it is, most probably will be more 'predictable' than Trump. Not like now Trump can syok syok tweet something random and then earthquake on market Yeah,.. predictability is important,.. but somehow, from observations, I think the indices and the investing community in general today are not so moved by these Trump triggers anymore,.. |

QUOTE(Moneylust @ Dec 16 2019, 06:34 PM) If Bloomberg or even Biden wins, should be ok. Yang and especially Gabbard won't pick fights either, but not likely to win. Good infos, bro,... tks,.. did not really follow very closely into the party-level debates now. Whom do you think would win among the Democrats and represent the D's ? |

QUOTE(Moneylust @ Dec 17 2019, 07:07 PM) Too early to tell. Probably Bloomberg or Warren. I think B joined the race a bit late, right ? And I heard from some political contacts in The USA that he is trying to convince more people to contribute to his cause. He is not really using that famous News network of his to spread his policies,... B is currently polling at around 4%(around 5th place) but has more $ to throw into his campaign then the rest of the Democratic candidates AND Trump combined. I believe $ matters a lot. Plus B is a really sane, moderate, intelligent candidate - if sanity prevails, he'll be the D nominee and go on to beat Trump. But if the Ds follow emotions, W will be the candidate and she'll likely lose to Trump. Thing is, most ppl vote according to emotions - especially hate and anger - just look at the mess in the US, UK, HK and a certain country in SEA. Trump may not be the next Rep nominee if that impeachment matter succeeds. Who is the potential candidate if Trump gets disqualified ? B or W may not be facing Trump after all. Yeah,... voting today steers more towards the philosophy of populism,... |

QUOTE(yeowhock @ Dec 18 2019, 02:32 PM) QUOTE(WhitE LighteR @ Dec 18 2019, 02:34 PM) they shouldn't have any problem. they mainly invest in FD i think. nothing to worry about i think. they not even bond. they are basically money market level fund. QUOTE(killdavid @ Dec 18 2019, 04:52 PM) I suspect funds are moving out from safer instruments back into cyclical investments which are expected to do well in the near future with the signing of the first phase agmt of the trade war, and which stopped the tariffs from being imposed onto China last Sunday. |

With the Feds wanting to start buying into US Investment Grade (IG) and High Yield (HY) Bonds,... noticed there are news here and there that these bonds and related bond funds may be good picks for now.
