QUOTE(dexeric @ Jun 12 2019, 01:15 PM) I am planning to buy r7 3700x to replace my r5 1600x in the rog strix b350-f gaming... i am sure it will supported with bios update... but now i wonder if r7 3800x will do any better... planning to stick on stock clock although the motherboard can auto overclock ... about 2 months ago, asus already publish new bios for your mobo to support ryzen 3000 series.https://www.tomshardware.com/news/asus-bios...ries,39201.html |

QUOTE(AMDAthlon @ Jul 16 2019, 08:26 AM) Could be caused by some drivers or software installed. very sure, no drivers also got EventID 17 warning (WHEA-Logger, System) in the event viewer, just the matter of time. btw, no data loss , file corrupt or performance loss is found yet.Mine cant even boot up windows after install several drivers. What i did was Bboot into safemode and remove some old sata drivers and it works again. From my observation, fresh install win10 build1903 v1 from officer iso (without install any drivers , no amd chipset drivers, no internet connection, no windows update) running it for some time, and then it first happen after trying to run multiple instance of hdtune and fail to eject the thumbdrive (coz still running software from it) ... tested on x570 mobo(with original bios, not the latest bios) with nvme ssd(no raid). Don't know about other version of win10, didn't have a chance to try ... This post has been edited by hashtag2016: Jul 16 2019, 06:19 PM |

QUOTE(shirohamada @ Jul 22 2019, 03:01 PM) >windows 10 oem rm450 no,AFAIK, hyperx fury 3200 c18 is Micron-E die (D9VPP)Lol conned. Oem key is rm8 on shopee. For 450 make sure it's retail with an usb stick. 2800 for a mobo. Lol why? Just get aorus elite. 1000w? 1000 why? 750 is more than enough. Hyperx fury is slow hynix die. Might as well put your money on ram and get gskill with samsung bdie. btw, I do agree that, with that budge , it deserve a better ddr4 ram (c16 or c14, or faster speed) and the mobo, I think aorus master is good enough, and worth it's price . |

QUOTE(shirohamada @ Jul 23 2019, 09:57 PM) my 3600 is running hot too. 85C on prime 95 default. heatsink is scythe mugen 5. 2 fans. Did u try to touch the heatsink while the temperature was displayed at 85c or 71c?cinebench 71C. the offset cpu die is not helping i guess. as for the 4.6GHz, this is a marketing problem. my 3600 reaches 4.2GHz if light load. prime95 3.95GHz, cinebench 4.05GHz, video encoding with filter bottleneck so it doesn't get to 100% cpu 4.1GHz. hardware unbox 3600 gets to 4.2GHz but their 3600x is no where near 4.4GHz, not even 4.2GHz. when using AIO watercooler. 3600x performs better because of the bigger stock cooler. if you throw it out, both runs the same. not a scam but false hope. because turbo is not guaranteed. AFAIK, those temperature reading is the temperature inside the cpu, they are not the temperature on the heatsink. if you touch the heatsink ( eg: stock Wraith Prism) the temperature around the heatsink is quite low actually.. so I think it would not be an issue btw, is it a bug or flaw ? don't know either. QUOTE(llk @ Jul 23 2019, 09:49 PM) Yup i know, i watched all the videos, if i let the voltage at auto when i perform Aida64 CPU+FPU stress test the CPU temp will shoot to 80~90degree, some users encountered PC shut down by using stock cooler would u mind sharing/or PM me the link of those users pc shutdown by using stock cooler? general speaking, It is quite hard to get the cpu overheat shutdown . more higher chance that vrm overheat, so have to shutdown the system. But, we need to know more detail for sure... This post has been edited by hashtag2016: Jul 25 2019, 12:35 AM |

QUOTE(BOTAK_WAI @ Jul 24 2019, 08:44 PM) HyperX Fury 8GB 3200MHz DDR4 Non-ECC CL18 Desktop Memory (HX432C18FR2/8) yes, very sure this ram stick is in the QVL list of this motherboard.i use this on B450 Tomahawk no problem with Ryzen 3600...i didn't overclock it either. got it at RM165 per stick including delivery and ryzen 3000 series (mettise) support 3200Mhz natively. edit: p/s: I simply forgot the existance of 3200g and 3400g, for 3000 with G series cpu, they r working at 2933Mhz natively, and we should look at the QVL list for "picasso", not the " mettise".. btw, those QVL list for Picasso either Empty or MIA status at the moment.. (just random visit some b450,x470,x570 mobo website) so, For 3200G and 3400G, it is more safer to follow the QVL list of Raven Ridge in this circumstance. QUOTE(pretty23 @ Jul 24 2019, 10:20 PM) no , gigabyte also got this RAM in their x570 mettise RAM QVL list.I think this kind of ram issue is very common , please ensure u check the QVL list first before the purchase.. QUOTE(lavenzo @ Sep 26 2019, 03:17 PM) yes, for gigabyte, the bios with alphabet suffix is beta bios.eg: F2a , F2b, F2c ,,...etc all beta bios. and F2, is the final bios. btw, the F2 bios of your mobo is fine, it boost normal... or, u have to wait the final F6 .. the F3->F5 is not ABBA firmware. p/s: Judge from your hardware spec, most probably your ram not stable enough while overclocking, so mobo run them at stock speed... so the cinebench R20 score lower abit..still not bad ,actually. QUOTE(MrRaiden @ Sep 26 2019, 07:25 PM) If I upgrade to aftermarket cooler it is worth it? any recommendation good stock cooler? budget around RM300. yes, u need to replace your cpu cooler with after market cooler.the one come with 3600 is not recommended. Actually, there are some after market air cooler is good and cheap, less than RM100. If you r using 3700x or above, the stock cpu cooler is good enough, u only have to adjust the fan curve in the bios to kill the frenzy noise. and the cooler come with 3600x is ok too, need to adjust the fan curve as well ... QUOTE(nrw @ Oct 1 2019, 07:44 PM) Despite those games not being of any interest to me I just tried if they would still entertain early adopters. no matter what company , Malaysian always get neglected. But AMD (Malaysia) is strictly following the dates. Funny to see nVidia was so accommodating last year with BF5 and pretty much gave out instructions to not neglect those early adopters that asked nicely. AMD pretty much launched a beta product (the 5700's are still having beta drivers Very disappointing actually. The exception is, for the x570 early adopters, if your r buying mobo from msi, u can get a liquid cooler for free. other company, asrock, asus or gigabyte? I don't know... maybe have a chance to win a car( asus 30 anniversary event) or pcie4 1TB ssd luckydraw (only 3 chances, have to competition with b450,x470 owners ).. amd "malaysia", sxck!! p/s: same to u, ubisoft, charge malaysian for US dollars while listing SG dollars.. boycxtt... QUOTE(chocobo7779 @ Oct 20 2019, 01:12 PM) Did you disable reboot on system failure on Windows? nod... if still fail after that, then need to re-do the thermal paste (must be a bad mounting while clipping the the stock cpu cooler. Also, try disabling XMP and update your chipset driver btw, before u doing that, u may try to check the integrity of the ram , do some memtest thing...maybe there are ram issue. QUOTE(kamechi @ Nov 8 2019, 08:59 AM) is there a 'best-way' to flash x570 bios? i have a x570 aorus pro wifi and i download the gigabyte software, the bios there still showing f5 whereby i can already download f10a from website. u don't have to update the bios all the time, if the existing BIOS is working fine.f10a is not the final version, so u r at your own risk... |

QUOTE(Alert_RaZO @ Nov 12 2019, 03:53 PM) yes , BUT depend on the motherboard. (short answer)if u visit amd website, u will found that those ryzen apu officer support displayport and hdmi only. https://www.amd.com/en/products/specificati...ssors/7746+7696 (the url is from amd website ryzen page, and click the "SHOW FULL SPECS" button) so, if your motherboard doesn't come with both displayport and hdmi, and u wanna do it among vga/dvi/hdmi port. then I guess u have to ask the motherboard maker for the answers. different model from different company might end up with differrent results. some of them may support dual monitor, some of them don't.
