QUOTE(silrave @ Jul 31 2017, 10:00 AM) i have check bios it is turn on Which ram are you using? Do you check your motherboard ram QVL list? As you know some of the ram are having compatibility issue even though you turn on xmp it might not necessary run the xmp setting.

QUOTE(Cynox @ Aug 3 2017, 11:24 AM) Noctua is so awesome - send the AM4 mounting kit all the way from Europe FOC. In comparison, Corsair is CRAP!!! Even i want to buy the AM4 mounting bracket from US, they refuse to ship if the shipment goes though a forwarding service, must provide a physical address in US. Why not buying from taobao? Probably around rm50~rm60 including shipping to your doorstep

QUOTE(TristanX @ Aug 4 2017, 11:25 PM) At least you got golden chip. 1.31v stable. I dont think it is golden chips, majority of the 1700 can reached that speed with around 1.3 to 1.35v, this is quite normal, but reaching 4ghz with less than 1.4v very rare, mine required 1.4v above to get stable during stability test

QUOTE(goldfries @ Aug 4 2017, 11:34 PM) That 'Magic 4' is pointless. 3.9Ghz to 4Ghz is very little in performance difference. Ya, its more like mental satisfaction

QUOTE(Songchien @ Aug 6 2017, 12:48 PM) I reset cmos back to original settings for my 1600x. But the voltage is still around 1.375V in Ryzen master. Is this normal? And the processor doesn't seem to downclock itself when idle. Always showing all cores at 3.7ghz You may need to set power setting in Windows to 'Balanced' or 'AMD Ryzen Balanced' if you have installed the latest amd chipset drivers

QUOTE(goldfries @ Aug 7 2017, 01:28 PM) The software reading is wrong. It's not possible that a 95W processor even after OCing will drain that much. Use the wattmeter and measure it from wall is best. Then again, does RealBench push the GPU? If yes then I think could be correct since GTX 980 Ti is a 250w card. Yup, i saw the monitoring software indicate the graphics card is in fullload, hence i guess after oc ryzen is consume slightly more than 150watt .

QUOTE(k!nex @ Aug 11 2017, 10:06 AM) Seems like TR can clock so much better than Ryzen. Most reviewer mentioned that they only need 1.25V for 4Ghz for a 16 core CPU. That is pretty impressive. Only 65C on a 240mm AIO cooler on a load test with all core at 4ghz. Threadripper consist of upper 5% binned ryzen chip, so no surprise it is slightly better than ryzen, most also 4.1-4.2ghz.

QUOTE(Cynox @ Aug 17 2017, 04:43 PM) Yes, that's why Ryzen 7 1700 is the best buy - lower end no LED strip, higher end no cooler at all. But eventually most of the users will change to better 3rd party cooler
