QUOTE(Morpheus2be @ Jul 30 2017, 01:52 PM) I caved in and bought the Gigabyte. Waited too long for ITX. The Biostar was never in stock until recently, despite being 1st to market. You still can't buy the Asrock. The Gigabyte was a surprise find with little fanfare from the reseller or even Gigabyte. I think they are focusing on the X399 launching soon. I'm ready to start my build once the board arrives. See you guys later. I'm interested too. Might need fan splitter for my case (RVZ01). By the way, what case you're gonna install it in? I read that many people kutuk the connector location especially that cpu power.

I reset cmos back to original settings for my 1600x.
But the voltage is still around 1.375V in Ryzen master. Is this normal?
And the processor doesn't seem to downclock itself when idle. Always showing all cores at 3.7ghz

Is it better to set normal voltage and high offset voltage or high voltage with low offset voltage?
I noticed if I set 1.31V with offset 100mV, my overclocked Ryzen 1600x at 3.9ghz will stay max 1.39V when playing games. But it seems like my games can stutter after around 45 minutes even though my temp is just around 63
But if I set 1.30V with 150mV offset, it can hit 1.42V.
Also, lower CPU voltage with higher offset voltage displays lower temperature when idling compared to higher voltage with lower offset.

QUOTE(mansooriqbal @ Oct 2 2017, 09:32 AM) why not OC to 4.0ghz? I think 1600x binned chip and shud easily OC to 4.0Ghz? Never try 4.0. At 3.925 when gaming the voltage hovers around 1.45-1.48. At 3.9ghz the voltage average 1.412. So yeah... Didn't win the silicon lottery...

Anyone can check if this is normal or too high?
My 1600x at stock average at 1.32V when playing Rocket League. Using Hwinfo to monitor.

QUOTE(maxee @ Mar 7 2018, 03:47 AM) With Sapphire Vapor-X 250X 2GB [attachmentid=9638182] With Vega11 1GB Dedicated RAM (not sure how to increase the ram) [attachmentid=9638183] Using Kingston HyperX Predator 3200, but only able to run stable on 2933mhz/1.35v with XMP disabled, running on 3200mhz will get BSOD on windows startup There is lag at the beginning of scene change in the test with vega11, while the discrete GPU having no lag at all. Conclusion An old (rm200) discrete GPU still perform better than the iGPU Maybe the apu was bottlenecked since it had only 1GB dedicated ram.

For some reason, I felt that Lisa was anxious when they were about to benchmark their 3rd gen ryzen against i9-9900k. It was as if she was afraid that the score would be less than that of i9. But surely, she was confident on the power consumption.

QUOTE(ipohps3 @ Jul 6 2019, 09:35 PM) I bought Asus B450I motherboard from Taobao but I think need a 1st or 2nd gen Ryzen to boot to update the BIOS so that it can recognize 3rd gen Ryzen. Where can borrow 1st or 2nd gen Ryzen? Or I can just put in the 3rd gen Ryzen to update the BIOS? Is it safe to purchase MB from taobao? What about the warranty??

Ryzen 5000 series is definitely interesting, but I doubt the first batch of stock will be enough.
