I think SG unit still can buy because last time when I sent my AMD Phenom for warranty, i was requested to post my cpu to Singapore anyway.. So I think maybe SG unit is safe. But not sure for other countries.

Both Ryzen 5 1600 and 1600x are the same except 1600x is clocked higher and does not include cooler.
If you need stock cooler and can overclock, just get the 1600.

It all depends on the chip.
Since Malaysia weather is hot..i would say maybe 3.7/3.8Ghz is possible with stock cooler.
Even if you have better cooler 4.0Ghz is possible but its not worth because right now, Ryzen is limited by manufacturing process. Maybe Zen+(coming next year) will be a bit better in terms of clocking.

Depends on what processor you are using now. What processor you using now? If you are not in rush you can wait for Zen+(which is coming next year) or get Intel Coffee Lake to be released this October.

If I were you I would wait for the Ryzen 2nd Gen which is coming in April. Should have better motherboard too. Do take note x series does not include cooler.

Currently there's no IGP/APU can surpass that kind of performance. Still far to go.

All ryzen processors came with cooler except ryzen threadripper i think.

Based on the reviews, i think 3rd gen ryzen have very limited overclocking capabilities.. Dont think worth getting expensive motherboard with +++VRM..better spend it elsewhere i guess

Maybe latency is one of it. But some of the reviews said, the Ryzen is sort limited by some power limit(PPT)? I guess minor BIOS issue which limits the overclocking potential. Only time will tell whether future BIOS will improve it..or not
