ya ..when i was a kid, my dad bought syrians for me too. Last time dun haf dwarves one. Only saw syrians in the market. She gave birth and after two weeks, when we saw the babies actually started to walk and eyes opened liao.... my dad cleaned up da cage. Unexpectedly, da next day, 3 babies were gone and left with two. And I actually saw the mommy twisting one of the babies' head and eating it - so gross!!! Then left two pups. After few days later, the mommy suddenly canibalised them - i was like OMG - speechless. After my two syrians passed away, my dadddy didn't buy anymore. He said so gelik when da mommy ate up the kids

hahaha .. whr got evil put one syrian in one cage. Put two syrians baru evil. Play with ur syrians everyday lar . Her stomach is bulging .. Now can confirm she's pregnant already. I tried my best not to disturb her too much. Jz put food in her cage and give her mealworms. I think she'll deliver anytime now coz her stomach is bulgy already and it's so obvious.

Hahahhaha ... my male syrian is also having bulgy stomach. He's jz too lazy to exercise and get up. Always eat sleep eat sleep. Then nite time, he will think of ways to escape from the toyogo . So, every nite I'll catch him OUT and put him in my room. Let him roam around by himself to wherever he want to....keke. THen only can see him running like hell on da floor

i bought a toyogo (transparent) from carrefour last nite and i think it's the size of 2ft tank - not too sure abt the size. But stlightly bigger and spacious than the 2ft aquarium tank . . hehe. I bought it for RM 13.90 only cheap and nice It's totally transparent like those aquarium tanks not translucent .

Yupe. Advisable not to touch the mommy and the pups. Leave them alone for minimum 2 weeks for dwarves and if it's syrian, i think it's best to leave them alone for about 3 to 4 weeks coz syrians are more aggresive in nature .

Will puddings have any health / genetic complications?? I thot puddings are not standard WW or RC ?!

yippie ... jz back from campus and i see little pinkies in the tank . I dunno inside got how many pinkies as I only saw one pinky under da tummy. Dun dare to kacau the mommy - sked she cannibalise them all ... . HOpefully there're 3 - 4 little pinkies.

i still can't see how many pinkies are there. Saw 3 pups at the moment and that makes it the minimum. The mummy kept sitting on top of all of them. So, i can't see and I dun dare to move the mommy or kacau her from her beautiful sleep.

i think this shud be her first batch of babies. When I bought her home, she's kinda big ady . Not those little cute baby hamsters. I bought from SK thr ... all the syrians are HUGE!! . Not to say it's my first time seeing pinkies . When I was very very young, I had syrians too and the female actually gave birth too but all da pups were cannibalised. THat time, i was around 5-6 yrs old .. .

OMG!!! I gave her some mealies and she stuffed all of them in her mouth. Then she spitted them all out at one corner of hte tank. The mealies are not dead yet - still alive and wriggling around. Will the mealies BITE the pinkies??????

Got 8 pinkies inside. Just now she was nursing the pinkies. Then outside suddenly got "motor" sound very loud - ppl trimming the grass. She terkejut and she ran away from da nest with 3 babies dragged out coz they were sulking her. She bit two back into the nest. Left one more outside lying on top of the mealworms - OMG!! Will she eat up that little pinkie coz she lays on top of da mealworms and mistaken her as mealies?? Or waht can I do to help her get back to her nest. That little pinky is all alone - very kolian.

i dunno da name of the shop. But it's besides a bank. Next to a chinese medication shop. Those normal colours lor - brown banded; white; gold.

Phew . The mommy finally realised there's one more pinky missing and she went out to look for her. She's back to her nest

8 pups are healthy at the moment. Eeking here and there

I thot it was probably 3 pups only coz that's wud I saw last nite. Jz now she get up and run around leaving the pups in the nest. I calculated them. She didn't noe i was around watching .. LOL. THat's the good part of toyogo ..

ROFLMAO!! Dunno they will survive or not yet. Only 2 days now . If this batch is successful, I might continue breeding but having breaks in between not continously - later my syrian die as breeding machine . See how first. I use the normal big toyogo container for this female syrian. It's huge - bought it for RM 27.90 (i think) OR somewhere towards RM 30.

If the breeding is successful this time, I "MIGHT" breed only. Still unsure one. If wanna breed, then I need to buy more tanks and get a few more syrians from petshop ... hehe. Don't want inbreeding thingy
