QUOTE(crazymouse_yyh @ Apr 15 2007, 07:41 PM) Should never have such an award.... I would be ok with the "hamster with the best fur" or "hamster that has the best standard" or "prettiest hamster" or even "smartest hamster or best hamster tricks". Hamster with the best fur I sure win. My hamster fur arrr.. u skin him off alrd can use to make nice clothes.. jkjkjk |

QUOTE(crazymouse_yyh @ Apr 15 2007, 11:18 PM) Well, we will organize something like that one day lah. It would also be good to educate people about small animals as well. Yala.. make sure to invite more old untie uncles and tell them to allow their children to have hammies and gerbils! Show them how nice and fun tamed rodents can be! |

QUOTE(Syrian @ Apr 15 2007, 11:35 PM) K .. removed already. Surprisingly, the mommy didn't even cannibalise any part of the pinky. She jz leave the pinky in the wood. Maybe your mommy hamster have feelings wan... know her baby died so she don't take advantage.. but I doubt so.. chances are maybe she's so smart that she knows dead meat are not fresh. |

QUOTE(coldfusionpower @ Apr 17 2007, 01:30 AM) Not just a bit.. wayyyy smellier.. can pengsan la the smell at times.. lolQUOTE(crazymouse_yyh @ Apr 17 2007, 05:31 PM) Do like what joanalooidog said, separate it and place in a small cage or carrier with tissue.... keep in a warm place and feed it water. Water is more important than food. Yeah.. just be prepared for the worst case scenario.. from my experience, if hammi get sick, the chances of it surviving is reduce a lot...Also, you must know that hamsters are small, the smaller their bodies, the faster the sickness can spread.... so.... you also must toughen yourself for worst case scenario like the hamster dying.... It is a normal thing. |

Sigh.. well sometimes cannot blame this newbies too much also la... what to do.. maybe it's their first pet and they're inexperienced.. blame it on pet shops too lor.. but pls pls pls.. now u know what to do already. Separate them. No point keeping them together.. every time my friends keep telling me 'eh.. see your hamster so lonely! get him a friend'.. I'll have to explain to them. Seems like people have this misconception that hamsters are friendly animals even towards their own kind.

QUOTE(kurikuraX @ Apr 18 2007, 11:54 PM) yes i know u are good at take care on ur hammy, but please dun think the other ppl doing things without doing a research and brain. none taken.three of them are from different line, and they are totally matured in which in a breeding age. do you know how hard i tried to introduce them together? When ur hammy giving birth, you are showing off on ur pinkies. But when the other did the same things, u said on the other side no offense. I was saying it in a joking way dude. Please don't be over sensitive/protective. If I was out to insult you, I would have continued to talk about it even after for so long you didn't reply lar... I didn't go 'hey, pls don't act pro on giving him 2 wives because they'll breed like mad and you'll never be able to take of them at all'.. -.-" When I said 'u you prepared to handle the babies ah?', I didn't meant that you couldn't.. it was more or less a 'rhetorical' question only. I'm sure you're capable of handling them. Pls calm down.. sheesh... now i say, pls dun think that people are always out to insult you or think that you don't have brain. As i've said before in earlier posts.. I envy those that are capable of breeding hamsters as I can't do so myself. If I know you're so sensitive, perhaps I shall not reply to any of your comments in the future. no offense as well. This post has been edited by BlueHeng: Apr 19 2007, 12:05 AM |
