Guys, any tinted recommended for the budget around RM1k?must be good price/spec ratio and long lasting 1 la...tq guys
*
i believed what you pay, is what u get. anyways prolly for 1k, u could try some 'homebrands', Rhinepro, cannycool, winshield, and what ever mumbos out there. good branded tint, medium range is like 1.5k at least.

i too went for homebrand, 1k..quite satisfied with it relatively speaking..but as always i'm wondering how it performs relatively to a 1.5kish branded.. if it's almost similiar, then it's a good call

I mean the Huper Optik warranty card
*
Actually what is so important of the warranty card? My friend installed Huper Optik and given a warranty card by Smart Window from Damansara. Went to hq and verify coz film has defects but was told by the hq that the film is home brand and not included for claiming. He paid 1.3k for the package!! For me, warranty card is not reliable sweat.gif

Guys, why do you think you need window tinting advice. Who do not think the right person can give you the best answer? Professional people advice is very bias, they are in the field, selling their brand, like me. and unprofessional people advice is always unprofessional. Normally these people will try to tell you this "brand" is good because they only test on this "brand", and maybe that "brand". They even do not know they are using low grade film that make from Korea, Taiwan, and China. Somehow, they been told their film is made from USA. They do not know how to differential it. Korea IR film is cheap in market but heat rejection is temporarily, 50% depreciation after 1-2 years, continue by color fading on the whole piece of film. Will you pay RM1K for this type of film. Do you think is worth to buy and use for 1-2 years?

I thinking the most important aspect you guys must know is :
a)The product you pay for it, is original or not?
b)The product you pay for it, is good quality and genuine from USA or not?
c)The specification of the film you pay for it is true or not?

1. Ask about USA manufacturer detail.
Maybe most of the tint shops might claim that their products are from USA, but when asking about the USA manufacturer info, no answer will be given. Do some home work, online check on this matter. The genuine brand will normally reveal the supplier of USA manufacturer information.

2. Make sure the product is not "Home-brand" or not original brand.
Some tricky dealer may input other product which is not original one, sell as original product and given a "new name" this call "Home brand". You guys please online check on the original product name and spec before enter the shop.

3. Original Packaging and logo stamp on film.
All original USA product is come with standard packaging and the film is printed the brand logo. Be aware when you can not find any logo on the film when you tint your car.

Try understand the point and do more research.
Thus, never ask me which brand is better. However, kindly come to me if you interested in Raytech Window Film.

Can anyone please brief me the correct way on applying car tinting?

saw many mix n match here which confuses me..

the front should be made stronger to reflect heatness or the side?

heard that security film do not reject heat as good as the normal tint?

Hi There,
I was in Raytech - Cheras last Saturday, just got my new car tinted with V97 as well. I had the same experience like your, I would say the the performance is quite good and i like the film color as well. Film color is as good as Huper.

So far i tint both my car with Raytech and no regret. The only thing which is unknown - reliablitlity; whereby it doesn't make any different due to there is a 7 years warantty.

I would recomend to try Raytech V97 if you are really into Solar Film, whereas CS85 for Security Film.

Oh yes, forgot to mention, Raytech has very good customer service.

Hi, did you have V97 on your front windscreen? Why didn't you pick the ULtra70 instead?

Also, could you let me know the color of V97 and ULtra70, is it greyish black, blue or green?

Thanks.

As you guys know safety film also has its break strength support limit. As professional opinion, we never tell the customer how good is our safety film, even the original Raytech USA safety film just can delay breaking time for 20-30 seconds, and it also depends on what kind of weapon has been used to break the glass. Further more, although the safety tinted window has broken, the thief need to make a hole on the tinted window is not easy also. Thus, we got just enough time to try escape and drive the car away. An expert smash-and-grab-thief can grab your things in 2-3 seconds. That why meanwhile they will not try target on the car that tinted with safety film windows. Watch the videos below :

Car without tinted glass.

I am a 3M customer not a reseller or anything related to 3M company. Just that I truly supported 3M film since they day I got my first car in year 2000.

There are few category under 3M film, all cater for different budget user. Some dun mind spending more then 1.5K for a good film, some prefer under 1K group. Here is how 3M tinted film line up. Crystalline, Nano, Color Stable, RE, FX HP and Standard film.

Personally I feel that with our M'sia wheather is best to get Crystalline 50 for the whole car if you dare. Coz compliance issues do come with it. Since JPJ allow front WS 70% visible light transmision and the rest is 50%. Since its the top of the range from 3M line up, you pay what u get. If 50% not enough there is Crystalline 40 for you to choose. ( prefer darker color)

Since my car interior was black so I opt for Crystalline 60 for the whole car, which I feel I will more comfortable with Crystalline 50 for the whole car.If you were to ask me.

For those which budget constraint, can always opt for Color Stable 50 I would advice to opt for the whole car with Color Stable 50,which I feel it got the black color which is pretty cool, but if you compare with Crystalline, of coz there is a gap, in another word heath rejection is not as good as Crystalline (You pay what u get remember).

If you think 50 series is too bright for you, you can always opt for Color Stable 35. ( Which I did in my CT for all the windows except front is using Crystalline, for that you can immediately tell the different.....why Crystalline worth so much more.

Of coz you can mix and match different different line up of the film in the car, you definetely can tell which is superior to another. Strongly advice only the rear windsreen you use different category of film the rest should be the same. (if budget is a factor).

For those who wish to install Crystalline but also want some darkness in their car, I will advise all car windows with Crystalline 50 and the rear windscreen with Color Stable 35. Believe me you will love the black color of the color stable.

Hope my 2 cents helps...
