I have a tempered glass protector on my screen to avoid just that. So far it's been working fine without any loss of pen sensitivity, thankfully.

My screen protector terus scratched. I wonder without it the glass display itself will get scratched that badly or not

Surely will have hairline scratch if use the pen directly on the glass display. My tempered glass have hairline scratch.

Funnily enough, it's been so long and no I still have zero hairline scratches. That's probably not the pen and some sand particle or something getting in between the pen and the tempered glass.

But really, better the glass then your screen right?

Happened to me too lol.

But it is "fixable", don't worry. Contact the local Lenovo Support email. Tell them your warranty's effed up. Be prepared to supply them with a scan of the sales reciept later along the way.

Maybe my tempered glass is of low quality. Sometimes I do put other thing on the screen, so it might caused the scratch.

But yeah, screen protection is always a worthwhile investment for display, no matter tablet or phone. If the screen is scratched then every time you look at the screen you'll see the scratch. For me that is very annoying.

It should... as a normal usb hub. PD is worthless to the 510 as the Type-C doesn't support PD.

As such, IMHO there a better hubs out there TBH, especially at that price. But if you like it, why not.

I haven't tried but I have Bluestacks on my old MSI laptop. Works pretty fine (obviously not "native" smooth but it's works well enough) though IINM there's alternative software that works better (but I forgot what the thing's name is).

Basically the Windows 10 in the Miix is normal full version for usual laptop, correct? Not lite version for most windows tab.

Nope, no Windows RT or Windows S nonsense here. It's full blown Windows 10 Home right off the bat.

That said, right now the S versions can be upgraded for free to Win 10 Pro so that might be an even better deal TBH lol.

Anyone project their screen often? I do coz on top of my bed got a TV then always i hook up my miix to the tv visa USB-C to HDMI cable to watch movie at night. All good for the past 6 months or so then now suddenly it start to act up.

Watch half way loose signal, half way no signal, etc. 2 weeks ago just totally dead. I noticed when I plug in the USBC-HDMI adapter that time, the miix screen not blinking, like not detecting at all. So I bought myself a new adapter. With new adapter, it works but half half also, like watch half way then will loose signal few seconds like that. Then I thought HDMI cable pulak no good. Buy new. Also same. TV I tried to change different HDMI port also same.

I'm worried if it's the USB C port problem itself. How can I check this ah? Also, anyone got any links to update latest graphic card driver or something?

Thanks.

Unfortunately no real way to check, except to wait until it fails completely IINM (considering the built in diagnostics suite only really checks for internal systems related stuff). TBH, I don't really use external displays on the Miix all that often (I have other laptops for that), but when I do, it does work well as long as I plug the HDMI cable into the adapter BEFORE I plug the adapter itself into the Type-C port.

If I plug it in the other way around (adapter first before HDMI), things often don't work as intended for some unknown reason.

As for drivers, I use the drivers provided by Lenovo + whatever Windows Update downloads and that has been working OK so far, considering the I have the Miix set up more for stability rather than all out performance.

Otherwise, best place to search for drivers is probably from Intel themselves, though it might be a tad hard to find. The Miix runs an Intel HD 520 (Skylake) / 620 (Kaby Lake) though if you need something to search with.

Thanks for reply ... yeah i also plug cable to adapter first before plugging the whole thing to my mixx.

BTW does the "update driver" in the device manager actually works? =.=" Can I use that.

It actually does, but as I mentioned before, it actually takes drivers from Windows Update, which may or may not be the latest (though it should be stable at least). Plus, (rather obvious but I'll say it anyway) it does need an active Internet connection.

So yeah, go search Intel's website for the latest and best (and potentially less stable) drivers or stick with Windows Update for relatively stable ones (that might not be as good performance-wise).

Most authorised Lenovo dealers SHOULD have the 510, though TBH unless you can find one DEEPLY discounted, you're better off searching for the replacement 520, which is pretty much the 510 with Kaby Lake R, an improved Active Stylus and a fingerprint reader.
