Not sure if this is a problem... Have you guys tried charging the Miix when its shut down. Whenever i turn on my Miix while charging... My wifi will not work... It just disappears away... But a restart would treat it well. And also just got a blue screen with the same tcpip.sys but thats like a first in many2 weeks... Should i be concerned? My warranty is reaching its end.

The tcpip.sys bluescreen (and probably the WiFi not working thing) mostly just indicates that there are issues with the WiFi driver. Try updating the drivers to the latest available, or ROLLING BACK to a previous, more stable one if you're already on the latest version.

I've got WiFi bluescreen issues across many systems before (not just the Miix) and usually it's just this.

Seems Lenovo quite mum about bringing this one in. The 720 should be available already by now (it's been announced for local sales a while ago) but I haven't seen those on sale anywhere either.

Probably local sales of this form factor isn't too encouraging. Which is a shame as Lenovo has got a very good line going as far as Surface alternatives are concerned.

IINM, the Switch 5 is already being locally sold, just in case you're in a hurry.

Miix 520 has just been launched in China. Any chance it is coming here soon? And the price seems lower than the initial announcement.

The 720 and 520 are different models ler. The 720 has a 3:2 screen while the 520 has a 16:9 like our 510s.

Unfortunately, it's not TB3 so we're stuck with 3.1 options (minus PD), but that already gives us a good array of stuff to work with. Unfortunately, due to the Macbook "dongle life" situation, most are horribly overpriced. And funny that they ALL seem to either come in Silver or Space Grey lol.

But lately more affordable options are hitting the market and most of them work OK... except some weird compatibility issues with SOME passive VGA/HDMI adapters (passive are usually the cheap ones that look like cable converters).

Personally I'm using both a generic plastic "Type-C HUB+" and the slightly better known Dodocool Type-C Hub (both with HDMI, 2x USB and Type-C PD - not working as we don't have PD). They work as expected (even with a HDMI - VGA converter) but finishing is a bit on the dodgy side on the "supposedly" aluminium Dodocool (it's not really).

Also, Aukey seems to have a good quality yet inexpensive hub out recently (the CB-C49), and the updated version of the generic HUB+ (with a flat cable vs mine with a round cable) seems nice as well so there's a lot to choose from.

So yeah, you're spoilt for choice. Just remember that anything TB3 won't work with our Type-C and PD ports aren't worth crap for us.

Great share thanks. Personally i dont mind spending a little to get some reliable equipment. The aukey cbc49 seems to be on the high side but seems reliable. Im about to buy from lazada but seeing them shipped from oversea with no warranty worries me. Any idea where to get em with warranty? Thanks!

Not sure, but you can always go get Type-C stuff from a local Apple Store, though they're bound to be slightly overpriced. Also, All IT Hypermart branches normally have Type-C hubs in stock, normally of okay quality at about he price of the Aukey.

Type-C Power Delivery aka charging the laptop through the USB Type-C. Some hubs have a PD Type-C to charge the laptop while using the hub (ehem Macbook), but it's useless for the Miix and it has its own charging port anyway.

Hi all,
would like to recommend this free toolbar that create customized short key.
very useful for photoshop or other task.
you can customize the key size, predefine hotkeys, move it around, hide it when unused.

not much documentation and decent presentation since it is developed by some freelancer.
take some time to get used to it but once you know how to use it, it is damn useful

thanks.

I have a tempered glass protector on my screen to avoid just that. So far it's been working fine without any loss of pen sensitivity, thankfully.
