QUOTE(pokemon @ Mar 5 2017, 12:21 PM) Don't expect this from Maxis. Using old school technology to charge premium on "water fish" customers. not sure what u mean by water fish... but in Penang Area, other then Maxis(usually stable at 20mbps, mostly up to 40-60mbps), Digi (usually stable at 5-10mbps, some area support up to 20mbps)seem really performe good with VoLTE(NOTE: it dose not mean must have LTE-A to enable VoLTE, and also not always with LTE-A can push up ur bandwidth to/over 20mbps), and other thn this 2 telco, the rest r shit to compare (even umobile)where i test mostly my work place(2 places), home area and shopping mall, maxis usually out perform, Digi 2nd in place and Celcom get last(2phone, 3sim to test). maxis and digi having fast network switching technology (it wont break connection while switching 4g,3g,2g) but celcom no... to compare those price, most always keep saying maxis take premium price but give oldschool tech, but what i see it isnt really true. celcom giving quite number of GB internet quota, but if ur speed isnt really that fast, how r u gonna finish that quota?(same to umobile, please read TnC, webe user too) maxis indeed a bit more expansive compare to other telco, but it didnt fail me while i need it... somehow in Penang, some place like near to mountain area, digi n celcom give no signal, where maxis still all good, will this still mean maxis is expansive? i made a speed test on the spot, maxis and Digi(with VoLTE enabled and icon above shown), this is the result to those who alwsys think maxis is for 'water fish' customer. ![]() ![]() Edit: i can confirm while on speed test, digi is running on LTE-A (4G+) but while i take ss, it suddently changed to 4g LOL... digi's fault... I asked the business team, no rollout for LTE yet and expected to roll out when it introduces 5G network.

Tried today on non Maxis VoLTE calls and the call quality is pretty impressive and good if compared to Digi VoLTE enabled voice quality.

QUOTE(Xaser_3 @ Oct 20 2017, 11:58 AM) Keeping fingers crossed on that Bro. Being 1 year behind is still not too bad. Or even 6 month after our southern neighbour implements theirs. Yeah a couple of year later still have glimpse of hopea rather than a decade late ㅋㅋㅋㅋ. ^^ cheers! Cause more variants of samsung phones can be sold in Malaysia ^^ |
