QUOTE(nexona88 @ Oct 2 2018, 02:17 PM) Hmm.. Maybe... That is why I take those who speculate dividend < 6% as farting from the mouth. They are no expert. There's some saying would dropped below 6% this year.. Didn't happen.. So now speculated next year... Next year also 6%.. Then they all speculated year 2020.. And its goes on... Seriously... We don't really know... Maybe would happen. Maybe Not... |

QUOTE(nexona88 @ Oct 2 2018, 06:35 PM) Well there's possibilities... Yes all around me ppl told me that and thanks to them n lucky me I cashed out 100% of my FD and change all to AS1M. Now after 9 years+ I am still holding them. Only sold 23k so far.Remembered when AS1M launched years ago... The famous 4% only divided rate... No wonder first few month.. Take up rate so slow... |

QUOTE(nexona88 @ Oct 2 2018, 06:59 PM) Same here.. I don't think there was extra, they started selling AS1M in August but financial year started on 1 Oct. The extra was probably for those period b4 1 Oct. So 1st dividend was for 13months.Open on first day.. Heavy rain... Still I went open account.. Wait for 1 hours for my number.. Really worth it.. And best.. My first year dividend is extra from what I calculate.. Guess PNB gave "bonus" for those invested from day 1 😎😎 |

QUOTE(Gabriel03 @ Oct 7 2018, 09:57 AM) Just an extra info that might interest you : Good move for investing in EPF than ASx for your father.I initially did that to buy more ASM3 (previously known as AS1M) under my father's account (Najib gave special allocation to Indians) but I realised in the unlikely event that my father passes away, there is a big disadvantage in ANSB. http://www.asnb.com.my/v3_/pdf/perkhidmata...araanamanah.pdf The nomination procedure (for non Muslim) requires RM 180 (currently promo RM 100) for registration and a yearly payment of RM 10. Besides that, during the transfer of asset, ANSB takes a small cut. I did my math and in the end, I transferred all the money to my ANSB account. All extra money that my dad wants to save, I suggested that he perform self contribution to EPF (up to 60k per year). This is because he is above the retirement age (I double checked that retiree can still do self contribution). So, he can withdraw anytime he likes and that the nomination procedure in EPF is FOC as far as I am aware. But what if u go first, and u dont have pengisytiharaan amanah(which I think is cheaper than will) for your ASx? QUOTE(vanitas @ Oct 7 2018, 10:11 AM) I got consider epf for my parents as well, but seems partial withdrawal is easier via asnb. If life is so predictable.Anyone can tell how much small cut that asnb takes via nomination process? Anyway, you can always transfer your father units to yours to avoid that cut, when you feel the time is near, with only RM 15. |

QUOTE(Gabriel03 @ Oct 7 2018, 11:09 AM) The thought of doing a pengisytiharan amanah for myself has crossed my mind and at the moment, I am procrastinating of doing it but it will be done in the future. Hopefully, before it is not too late. It is especially useful if u have dependants who are not investment savvy, cos your units in ASx will be transfered promptly to their accounts upon your demise. Moreover currently PA is offered at rm100. |

QUOTE(vanitas @ Oct 7 2018, 12:13 PM) What I mean is register for pengisytiharaan amanah, but transfer units when someone get cancer or some serious illness to avoid cut. U can do that when a person is critically ill but not unexpected event like accident, sudden death, murdered.Yes, life is unpredictable, so there is always plan b. QUOTE(honkkydorry @ Oct 15 2018, 09:37 AM) At the bank counter, I withdrew some units from one ASx and transferred that to another ASx account. There was a reason for me doing that transaction at that time and luckily there were units available so I was able to do the transfer. What time n day u did the transfer? On the 1st day of the month? So u saved rm15 with risk of not getting the units. |

QUOTE(nexona88 @ Oct 16 2018, 10:21 PM) I got doubt can sustain 6% dividend rate for next year but would be happy if they can.. really respect them when the market portfolio / stock at losses QUOTE(Ramjade @ Oct 16 2018, 10:45 PM) Maybe my prophecy is coming true? Remember how I said asnb can only sustain 6% dividend for about 3 years+? https://1-million-dollar-blog.com/dividends...m-wawasan-2020/Klse was below 300 during the 97-98 financial crisis. Dividend has always been more than 6% all those years since 1997. |
