Won't the agent banks be affected by the role out of this system? Less transaction over the counter, and less commission for them?

will they give preference to agent banks in term of availability of units?
*
I'm not too sure. I think despite what many people think (some claiming got syndicate or insider job and all) PNB has always ensured that it's an open free-for-all-fair-game environment when it comes to purchasing their FP units. Yes some of their customers leverage the relationship they have with their bankers and leave their passbook and all, PNB has never supported or agreed to such things.

So what happens if PNB opens up other channels such as mobile apps or even ATMs? Well you can't really blame PNB now can you. Their job is to open as many channels as possible to meet their customer's needs.

Banks/agent are the collateral damage? I personally believe banks become PNB agents for the loans that is offered. The income they generate from giving out loans far more outweighs whatever transnational commission they get I think brows.gif

beta trial over? feedback time now

Don't think so. No one selling over the counter so no units available. I think everyone have to understand the fund size has remain the same and thus when no one is selling, obviously there's no unit to go around to be snapped up icon_rolleyes.gif

simple. luck not on your side today. because many others who are clicking at the same time as well
*
Also the fact that like I said earlier, the fund size has remained the same thus meaning the only way anyone can top-up is if someone else sells. If nobody selling than you click how many times also won't get anything. There's no new units available via the portal, everyone (real life and online) is going after the same sized pie.

Please remember, the behavior is the same previously where one has to go branch and try their luck hoping someone was actually selling at the same time. The only difference is now you can do it from the comfort of your own home/office instead of the hassle of going to an actual branch that's all brows.gif

Besides doesn't mean that no one posting here that they were successful means the portal system has blocked or beta is over or whatever. Remember, the URL has now even been share in other forums and searchable via Google so those who managed to lock-in since last week can consider untung lah rclxm9.gif

There are times that being first is not a good thing but not in this case. When it comes to the portal, being the early adopters/first matters because less competition means more successful hunting rate icon_idea.gif

Wondering what will be the dividend for ASM?
*
I'm putting my money on between 5.5% to 6% given that BNM left the OPR as is. That and the fact that 2017 is the first time in 4 years the KLCI is in +ve territory. I doubt PNB could make enough trading profit in 3 months of this year to cover the -ve returns of KLCI in 2016.

my advice is those who topup online these few days, pls go to bank and update your passbook just to be safe.. at least gt black and white.. from what i see, pnb might suspend da portal sooner or later..
*
Why would PNB want to suspend the portal for? Just because there's no units available? They never bothered to suspend transactions for ASM, AS1M and ASW via OTC when units were scarce. Banks didn't offer these funds via their internet banking portals because it's batch and don't want the hassle of refunds.

It's all about demand and supply. Somebody needs to sell in order for units to be able to be bought regardless of channel, simple as that.

Oh and to the earlier posted targeting 6.1% returns for ASM, I'd be pretty amazed if PNB can do it drool.gif

I think the system can't cope,... that's why can't register anymore,...
*
I don't think so. Many reasons why people can't register including didn't receive SMS. I tried calling the hotline number in the portal. They even have steps for both iOS and android to see if you've intentionally blocked certain numbers from sending calls/texts.

While chatting with them they also said some customer actually asked telco to block once upon a time and suddenly blame the system when cannot get SMS to register doh.gif

ps: i had called because i too couldn't register but in my case my mobile number wasn't update in PNB records brows.gif

Not now because I'm not sure I'm a legal beta user or not. We all got the link from someone or somewhere.
*
Just go to any agent branch and update passbook. Appear in it that it's all good. You do realize that PNB took your money from your savings right? Takkan lah take real money and give you fake units? cool2.gif

It is still in Beta, remember? And they never ask nor force you to try it out. You did it willingly. Must accept la. At least they ARE refunding your money, right? And I believe with them calling you back for details means they are taking it seriously and trying hard to give the best to their customers.
*
Agreed. No organization can claim that their internet banking/financial portals are 100% perfect. Even the big boys like M2U or Clicks which are arguably the largest that we have do have their occasional hiccups.

For an organization like PNB who seems stuck in the 80's (the portal is essentially their first non-OTC channel, still no ATM, kiosk, etc2..) I think everyone shouldn't expect too much. I mean god knows how many transactions have since been made via the portal and even some here have made countless transactions totaling 5 figures.

You're probably the 0.1% that suffered the refund problem so besides it being beta and all, gotta give them a break a bit lah. thumbup.gif

I tried to register at myASNB portal. At the page where I need to key in my telephone number, it doesn't seem to allow me to enter any numbers. Does that mean PNB is not accepting any new registrations at the moment?
*
You cannot enter any mobile number. The portal reads from PNB's back end systems. If your number is no longer correct/current or worse have no number registered at all, you need to go to the agents and update your info first.

I am okay with 6%.

Looks like @hyelbaine is right earlier,... internally they would have some sort of an understanding to give out 6% minimum.

Glad I stayed inside for this amt,...
*
I wouldn't call it right, just lucky. Market participants talk + IB reports/analysis + internal sources = lucky guess? rclxm9.gif heheheh

I don't think they care if you curi pakai. you are giving them money what.
*
Exactly. It's voluntary.

No one including PNB is forcing its unit holders to use the portal. They launched it internally, it was leaked to public and a month later, it's still around and many (and I mean many) have managed to top-up their FP funds successfully.

So I say enjoy it while many are still unaware of the portal. I'm guessing some of you would only share the URL once you've reached your individual targets brows.gif

Why don't you try and let us know to see if PNB is taking real money from you and giving you "unacceptable" units? brows.gif

did anyone has the issue of choosing the bank at the FPX page and click Agree and Continue button, and then the page is supposed to redirect to your bank internet banking page, but instead a blank page is shown with no way to proceed further?

I've seen this issue for a few times and lost the opportunities to buy the units as the next trial is almost always no more units available. What do you do in such case?
*
Complain to MyClear/FPX as once you leave the portal it's no longer the portal's infra until you've completed payment and be routed back to the portal

Nope. Haven't heard anything of that nature so far. I'm sure it's part of their plan down the line but just not sure when lah I guess hmm.gif

*
It's something like an open-beta thingy with the portal. Launched to staff yet URL is available to public.

If you don't have time to visit any of ASNB or its agent over 2000+ branches all over the country, email them with a certified true copy of your IC and they'll do it for you brows.gif

I updated my personal data at ASNB office here more than a month ago.

Could not register in Myasnb.

Checked with Affin bank, my mobile and home nos were entered the wrong way round.

Submitted a new data update at Affin bank 2 weeks ago.

Still could not register.

Went to ASNB office this afternoon. Guess what?

Now my mobile no has been entered as my office no! Why so many slippery fingers when they entered my data!

Now managed to register in Myasnb.

Not as good as I expected, so many clicks, no, yes etc for each attempt.

Maybe their system can accept the first no, yes declaration thing and for subsequent purchases, no need to answer all these questions?

Tried to buy RM100, no success.
*
Man that's some journey just to get your mobile number updated eh shocking.gif
