Won't the agent banks be affected by the role out of this system? Less transaction over the counter, and less commission for them?
will they give preference to agent banks in term of availability of units?
I'm not too sure. I think despite what many people think (some claiming got syndicate or insider job and all) PNB has always ensured that it's an open free-for-all-fair-game environment when it comes to purchasing their FP units. Yes some of their customers leverage the relationship they have with their bankers and leave their passbook and all, PNB has never supported or agreed to such things.will they give preference to agent banks in term of availability of units?
So what happens if PNB opens up other channels such as mobile apps or even ATMs? Well you can't really blame PNB now can you. Their job is to open as many channels as possible to meet their customer's needs.
Banks/agent are the collateral damage? I personally believe banks become PNB agents for the loans that is offered. The income they generate from giving out loans far more outweighs whatever transnational commission they get I think
