QUOTE(Selectt @ Oct 9 2018, 11:15 AM) why not? it is legal as long govt protected it. unless you know all details that is showing it is not ponzi because everyone is buying up and it has been generating consistent dividend despite most equity is not performing. I wouldn't say it is ponzi. It is legal Daylight Robbery institution. but who cares right? everyone enjoy the juicy compounded dividend distributed. |

QUOTE(veera77 @ Oct 8 2018, 11:22 PM) True!!!!...very less people fortune enough to enjoy their own EPF money...usually mostly goes to kids edu, mortgage etc.. Not everyone can work till die. Most become jobless either due to no demand for their skill set or they are too sickly to be gainfully employed. And some cannot wait to retire at 55 to enjoy life.Malaysian generally dont have retirement plan or mentality....work work work till die...then all EPF goes family member (if u did proper nomination).. EPF is great tool for retirement plan...30% Act 2 ok lah boleh spend for ur commitment before 55...70% act 1 should enjoy during retirement age.. |

QUOTE(Ancient-XinG- @ Oct 9 2018, 02:11 PM) well Gamuda did gave out counter offer...QUOTE Supportive of Government’s drive to improve fiscal health In spite of the agreed contract price, in view of the present austerity measures pursued by the new administration and in support, in particular of the new Government’s review of its financial commitment on major infrastructure projects, MMC Gamuda has been engaged in discussions and negotiations with MOF over the past 2 months to review the scope of works and specifications of the Project with the aim of reaching a compromise on a cost reduction. Following therefrom and at the request of MOF, MMC Gamuda has agreed to convert the Project Delivery Partner (PDP) model to a single Turnkey Contract for the elevated works with a price reduction of 23%. In respect of the underground works MMC Gamuda has so far offered a 24% reduction for the balance of the underground works. Through its Media Statement, MOF has informed that it has accepted the offer in respect of the elevated and system works only. The offered reduction for underground works The underground works awarded contract price is RM15.47bn. As progress achieved is now 40%, the balance of the uncompleted underground works is now valued at RM9.6bn. MMC Gamuda has offered a reduction of RM2.3bn which represents 24% of this value. The reduction is achieved through reducing the scope of works and lowering specifications for mechanical, electrical and architectural finishes of the stations. It was also achieved by reducing the number of entrances to stations and the number of active stations constructed. From a total number of 10 stations, 4 will currently be shelved. QUOTE(mephyll @ Oct 9 2018, 05:18 PM) feel free to explain why this SARA 2 is so attractive? other than 3.5% sc.. The Sara holds bonds. So theoretically it should be able to give 4-5%p.a without issue. all the while here aim for FP only.. but this round SARA 2 seems hot.. also, does the withdraw have anything to do with the name "SARA"? or can withdraw anytime? |

QUOTE(mephyll @ Oct 9 2018, 05:18 PM) feel free to explain why this SARA 2 is so attractive? other than 3.5% sc.. this fund 80% into bond. all the while here aim for FP only.. but this round SARA 2 seems hot.. also, does the withdraw have anything to do with the name "SARA"? or can withdraw anytime? those who usually play bond will know how it work. for me, if they perform. the usual close ended bond without EQ exposure but with high yield bond and foreign currency exposure will give you 3 years annualised ~5% pa after deducted the initial 3% SC. that's my experience so far. if this SARA 2 don't simply fool around, I think it's should be 6% because decrease risk of foreign currency. hope so la. and hope for the 20% also don't fool around. |
