New MBP with touch bar user here.

I'm still not used to the touch bar. Don't really know how to maximise its feature as I'm too used to my MBP 2012 haha. I also accidentally pressed the touch bar all the time.

I also only have 256gb, do you guys get extra HDD?

256gb will be too little in long run, u may run into bottleneck quite soon.

256G is very little for today usage and application. Coming from 256G, always at 95% usage. sad.gif

Yup. This is what I always warned the new buyers not to cheap out on the storage, because if not enough storage, later still need to add $$ to buy external storage. If one buys the external HDD, the performance is way way way slower than the macbook storage, if buy the external ssd, the price will be the same or even higher than the extra to pay for 512GB version and again the speed is certainly not on par with the built-in macbook storage.

256gb one cannot even backup his iphone unless Super Low capacity kind.

There is no different beside the power adaptor socket。you need to change to a UK plug.

Been almost a month with this laptop, loved the speaker daymn.

Also took out my old 2012 MBP to take some files and daymn it felt 10kg heavier haha.

Also I need to better manage my files, 256gb is not enough. T_T

Welcome to MacOS world then! :-)
I'm not a MacBook owner, but the iMac. You may have some learning to do when it comes to the controls but it will be okay eventually.

no choice, 512gb is a bare minimum to make the machine usable for years to go. If one is to buy cheap and choose 256gb and to extend the storage later, if to buy external ssd, the price is also around there.

I'm using late 2015 rMBP 15", but got people poisoning for the 2017 version hahaha.

Anyone changed from 2015 to 2017? Any significant performance changes? Or I just better stick with the no-dongle-life?

Hi everyone, notice my rMBP (mid 2014) screen is suffering from staingate issue. Anybody here just got his/her screen replaced and how long it took? Can we still replace the screen at no charge?
