QUOTE(NGT1137 @ Jan 12 2017, 10:38 PM) Birkenstock is meant to be wore in door. They are very comfortable especially walking on carpet. This thing doesn't cost that much in its home country. When sampai malaysia jadi mercedez and every retard is wearing them outdoor not because they have the best cushion, but to show off that they can afford birkenstock. yes, gf lived in netherlands, marketplace got sell, less than RM200 can get dy. |

My first pair already 5 years, not a lot of cracks but still wearable.
Now total got theee pair, I am die hard red color fans. Then I just wear it like normal slippers, don't care if it's wet or not, just walk only. I saw a lot go shoeless and hug their birkens during rain, the what is the point u buy? Shoes should wear like a shoes. |

Get which part repaired? I know you can buy the shoe outsoles (black part) from them but they don't do repairs, you need to get a cobler to do this for you.The footbed gets dirty (blackish) after a while but you can reduce it by washing/brushing it with a solution of some sort? This is what I gathered from researching on the internet This post has been edited by -kytz-: Jan 12 2017, 10:51 PM |

Judging by all above ignorant negative comments, how many of you really owns a genuine pair remains to the question. Sour grapes. If u don't understand and can't afford the high price for such sandals, suggest u to dig some research before making a fool out of yourself.
Regarding the "this shoes meant for indoor" comment, I find it hilarious. No European slippers or sandals are specially made for indoor or outdoor purpose. Just wear it whenever and whenever u like. Birkenstock comfort emphasize on arch. It is design to fit perfectly on your feet. Not for cushioning purpose. |

Yes, it is very durable. My first pair i wore it for 4+ years and the tread still got 75%. Now my 2nd pair already near 2 years. At first u will feel uncomfortable and a bit of hotness due to the cork, but after awhile it will be very comfortable and you wont go for other type of slippers. Trust me, it worth every penny of it.

Usually the sole tanggal from the cork base. But ours bought in Europe, dunno if same applies to those bought here.
Honestly not worth it la. Long lasting also how many pairs of slipper you can buy for that price? Slippers are not meant for you to give a fuck. With these you scared they get dirty la, cannot go hiking la, cannot leave at masjid la. Passing fad, like crocs. |

Lol rm 200 can buy what here? |

QUOTE(asamalikum @ Jan 12 2017, 11:21 PM) Judging by all above ignorant negative comments, how many of you really owns a genuine pair remains to the question. Sour grapes. If u don't understand and can't afford the high price for such sandals, suggest u to dig some research before making a fool out of yourself. Such sandals.. Haahahahaha..Regarding the "this shoes meant for indoor" comment, I find it hilarious. No European slippers or sandals are specially made for indoor or outdoor purpose. Just wear it whenever and whenever u like. Birkenstock comfort emphasize on arch. It is design to fit perfectly on your feet. Not for cushioning purpose. |

QUOTE(djtong @ Jan 12 2017, 11:53 PM) Usually the sole tanggal from the cork base. But ours bought in Europe, dunno if same applies to those bought here. Not sure if Birkenstock owners here really wear it with such cautious in mind. At least not me. It's a slippers bro. Not a phone. Honestly not worth it la. Long lasting also how many pairs of slipper you can buy for that price? Slippers are not meant for you to give a fuck. With these you scared they get dirty la, cannot go hiking la, cannot leave at masjid la. Passing fad, like crocs. BTW, don't think u want to wear any slippers for hiking either. |

If you want to show off, paste few pieces of RM100 all over your foot. Surely will attract attention.

overrated slipper...
if using it daily, expect it to last less than a year. dont buy it with a mindset that it will last forever. the supporting arch is less effective than those at myfeet buy it if you wanna be in fashion, just like them crocs.. fanbois will protect their brand of choice till the end of time just like android/ifags #flameshieldon |

I got one and I can tell you the repair thing is a gimmick la. My dog ate that shit and instead of clubbing it to death I basically got very proud as I always believe dogs should end up either dead or in the hot pot.
Its so hard, it forces your foot to stay straight, the comfort isn't there. And due to the hardness, its not even comfortable or fun to walk at faster speed. |

I dint choose the Birkenstock , the Birkenstock choose me.
Hujan lebat gila in Tokyo Disneyland and since I dont want to waste my 1 day pass, I just brave through it. Back at the hotel, I asked the concierge to help buy a pair of slippers since my only pair of shoes is soaking wet and busuk. The concierge got me the standard Birkenstock for about 11K yen gg ![]() Initially not much different from any slippers I have but now it kind of adjusted to my feet. one way to take care of this slipper is avoid getting it wet, that would spoil the birkie treat ur birkie like a nice leather shoe but in a casual wear flipflop r more for the wetmarket, beach and etc just like ur clothes, u need a pair of flipflop for different occasion and birkie for another different occasion NEVER CHOOSE TO WEAR BIRKIE WHEN IT IS RAINING OR WHEN U KNOW IT WILL MOST LIKELY GET WET mine lasted for 7-8 years and counting. the soles grip is still good |

i'm those who don't wear slipper or sandal since i was in secondary school. Solely shoes. I have been doing this for the past 10years.
but ever since i tried on birkenstock for the past 2 years, now i'm wearing it for most of the time/ocassion. Trust me, it is expensive but worth every penny of it. Buy for the comfort not just bcoz it is birkenstock. |

Someone Forward me this thread.. So here I am.
I used to think Birkenstock is so expensive. And I don't think I will get them.. But after I start selling ORIGINAL Birkenstock since 2015 (until now still selling) Hahaha.. I get to know the sandals in details and when they launch the EVA version .. EVA is very popular and So I've decided to get a pair of Gizeh EVA Red Color. Why I decided to get them? 1. I sell Birkenstock so I think I should try them so I will know how it really feels to wear them 2. My old cheapo slippers spoiled very fast. All those Rm10 slipper spoil in few months.. yea I had problems with shoes -.- So I wanna try invest on a pair of slipper that will last longer. 3. My feet is sweaty and I can't wear those leather, cork or cloth type shoes/slipper. I need to wear those material that won't get smelly. 4. Since EVA is rubber and it can be wash.. can kena water and won't get smelly.. EVA is what I need. So once I got my Gizeh Eva Red color.. On the 1st wear I could feel that it is very comfortable! I wear it with any clothes.. feeling cool at the same time. I wore it for a year until 1 of my customer wanna buy my red pair.. But after I sold out the red color.. I got another pair of Gizeh Eva pink color instead and I've been wearing it until now.. Happy feet~! ------------- Anyway for those that afraid the shoe will get smelly and the Sole will turn black... Don't worry if u get EVA that won't happen.. haha.. only the cork type will. Oh but the EVA wordings at the sole will be dissapear after sometimes wearing depend on the feet.. Due to sweats and feet rubs again the sole. Cos last time i owes got lower back pain, but go doctor do mri xray no slip disc, doctor say maybe becos muscle strain due to flat foot, ask me change to flat foot footwear. |

At first u will feel uncomfortable and a bit of hotness due to the cork, but after awhile it will be very comfortable and you wont go for other type of slippers. Trust me, it worth every penny of it. QUOTE(Fighteden @ Jan 13 2017, 03:04 AM) QUOTE(NGT1137 @ Jan 13 2017, 07:54 AM) I owned 5 pairs of them. They are very durable, and they are meant for indoor. You can of course wear it anywhere you like, even go diving with it. Your money, your sandals. That thing is not designed for outdoor due to the non-existence cushioning and the material used. I lived in where it is made for more than a decade. and yes, there are sandals deigned for indoor and outdoor. QUOTE(TheReaderReads @ Jan 13 2017, 10:57 AM) Mine tahan for 7-8 years liao!!! one way to take care of this slipper is avoid getting it wet, that would spoil the birkie treat ur birkie like a nice leather shoe but in a casual wear flipflop r more for the wetmarket, beach and etc just like ur clothes, u need a pair of flipflop for different occasion and birkie for another different occasion NEVER CHOOSE TO WEAR BIRKIE WHEN IT IS RAINING OR WHEN U KNOW IT WILL MOST LIKELY GET WET mine lasted for 7-8 years and counting. the soles grip is still good QUOTE(deadmanwalking1 @ Jan 13 2017, 11:12 AM) i'm those who don't wear slipper or sandal since i was in secondary school. Solely shoes. I have been doing this for the past 10years. My friend said he wear one day only at the inside already turn black, bcs he sweats a lot? Truebut ever since i tried on birkenstock for the past 2 years, now i'm wearing it for most of the time/ocassion. Trust me, it is expensive but worth every penny of it. Buy for the comfort not just bcoz it is birkenstock. If this happens what to do? Once it turn black cannot become brown back?? |

QUOTE(NGT1137 @ Jan 12 2017, 10:38 PM) Birkenstock is meant to be wore in door. They are very comfortable especially walking on carpet. This thing doesn't cost that much in its home country. When sampai malaysia jadi mercedez and every retard is wearing them outdoor not because they have the best cushion, but to show off that they can afford birkenstock. thisIn Malaysia anything and everything will become desireable as long as expensive |

Same thing with Crocs slippers over conventional slippers.
They're expensive because Birkenstock is light and new. When the copies start to get the design and idea, you'll regret paying that much for the brand. Take Adidas NMDs for example. Now in the market flooded with NMDs replicas which are equally light and comfortable for half if not a fraction of the price. |

I've been wearing Birkenstock for 3 years plus, every day (except I'm working). Durability wise I would say each pair will last me one year plus. Hope this helps

QUOTE(xavi5567 @ Jan 12 2018, 03:03 PM) Actually it is built to be keras..if soft it is not meant for walking... After 2-3 walk.. Sure sakit... Keras is for arch support. For light European fella which usually they are, suitable for their support. N their body contour are better. U ask Malaysian to wear this? Walk a bit also cannot, must double park. This sandal is not suitable for long shopping journey for land whales. |

QUOTE(soulseeker6187 @ Jan 12 2018, 03:14 PM) ayam agree. Yes don’t buy Birkenstock if your bone density not good and strong. My Swiss friends are all light weight, carry big backpack at the back and could hike wearing sandals. They eat less and no issue. Kesian msian, because of branding. Just die die followwear few times make my feet hurt. never wear them again. its too hard for me. now only use asadi cheap and comfy. ayam prefer soft shoes. so i will wear my ultraboost every time i can. |

U have to break them in. First time wear memang sakit because its hard and the arch contours. After ur feet n brikens break in...they're damn comfotable. U will feel wierd wearing other flat slippers after that. Not advised to kena water..because of the leather/suede. Feels geli wearing it wet. But didn't rosak la..just dry it slowly.

QUOTE(KuzumiTaiga @ Jan 12 2017, 10:27 PM) i used to laugh at my college mates who wear them (because i was only buy shoes from adidas and nike warehouse sales, slippers oso wear fipper only) then one fine day i decided to buy a Birkie Gizeh fk this shit i'm never wearing shoes on casual trips outside ever again, they're the fking best. rly lazy to even wear socks these days thanks to how comfy birkies are. But one thing I do not like is that after some time it will turn black brown (the sole, from stepping on it with ur feet sweat) i think midvalley, but quite small QUOTE(KuzumiTaiga @ Jan 12 2017, 10:39 PM) Is this true?
