Hi guys, I am getting this icon on my Jazz. Its about 2 years since I last replace the car battery. Do you think it is caused by weak car battery?

You using GK jazz keyless? If so, then it indicates that your keyless battery is low. Go and change the batt.

Having had my Jazz for about two months now, I've noticed that I haven't been able to get even 10km/l, which is a fair bit below the FC that was cited.

It's my second car and it doesn't get used often. The mileage is just above 1000km at the moment, and used mainly in urban driving in and round the PJ area, with the traffic jams and slow traffic on the LDP and Sprint.

Is this normal FC and should I be concerned? Or do I have to wait until the engine gets 'burned in' with more driving?

Any help, advice and viewpoints will be appreciated.

You’ll need to wait till the engine is run in. Usually it’ll be above 5k kms. Better be above 10k kms and you’ll know the normal fc for the car.

For jazz, you should be able to get an average of 13-14km/l in city drive and 17-18km/l during highway drive.

i can get around 12-14km/l for mixed urban highway driving

i always top up full tank and can drive up to 420km (until 1 bar left)

NVH n stock tyre could be better though

Don’t expect much from Honda’s NVH. Toyota’s much better.

Has been on HIP since I bought my Jazz 3 years ago.

My experience, it depends. In 3 years I call 2 times for their service, one near Banting, another one near R&R Pagoh.

At Banting, my car cannot start, so I call HIP to send help. Within 30 minutes, they send a tow truck, and I told the technician that come that my battery probably dead, so he jump start the car, then I drove the car to nearest 3M Honda Service center for check up. Turns out my cabin light was continuously on although the switch at door position, causing it to exhaust the battery. So, Honda techie ask me to claim for warranty and replace the cabin light.

At R&R Pagoh, its a bit different. Again, my car cannot start. This one I sure is because of dead battery. So I call HIP, and they said the help will come in half an hour. half an hour past, to 1 hour. After 2 hours I call HIP again. They said all their technician is busy. The HIP give me the direct mobile number to their technician. I call them, no answer.

After 3 hours stranded, waiting, one Plus Ronda truck park in front of my car and ask me if Im the car owner. The HIP technician call Plus Ronda to jump start my car LOL. So they jump start the car, and I drove all the way back home directly to workshop to change battery. Zzzz...

Battery is probably one of the most important component in your car. Best to get it check from time to time. Otherwise, perhaps you should invest in a battery charger / reconditioning.

hi guys, i changed the battery of my wireless key and i forgot to reprogram. today, i cannot open my car remotely. i can open the driver door manually using the key in wireless key. my model is push button ignition and it’s not working. when i try to open dome light is also not working.
whether it is battery issue or due to wireless key not programmed after battery replacement?

Seems like a flat car battery rather than your key fob battery. Try switching on your headlights. If they are dim or not working, then it’s your car battery. Call your insurance roadside assistance to jump start the car or change the battery.

thanks for your reply.
last time i used the car was just 1 week ago. and did not encounter any signs that battery is weak. can start engine flawlessly.

do you happen to know if the effect if fob battery is dead or frequency not synch with car?
*
A weak or failed battery can’t even hold charge for more than 6 hours sometimes. If you have not driven for about a week, then it’s definitely your car battery.

There’s no such thing that you change your key fob battery and the frequency ‘lari’.
