Well, I did try to unlock it with a Win7 32bit system, but before I can begin, I have another problem... as per pic below. I have installed a few adb drivers but none of them work. Please help.

not really... i want those diary type of flip case with a magnet, so it is actually made of 2 parts. one part plastic which I plan to peel off, and later get a fitting soft silicon case and glue it back. but the 2mm difference really makes it difficult to fit it in, especially on a hard plastic cover. If you get a soft cover, maybe can heat it up to make it even softer and then try to fit it in.

note: the 3.5mm jack and usb area might need slight modification.

i unlock my kate within 3 days after send request. no issues until now. more than a month d. flash cm13 straight away.

if wanna revert back to MIUI, it'll lock bootloader, but i can unlock it with no issues.

Please highlight what is official method? I followed the tutorial on page 1 of this thread, but got stuck on 50%.

if you follow the instruction on 1st page, thats official method. by request to unlock your device.

Did you get the approval code or any sms or emails saying your request has been granted?

stuck in 50% may i know which ROM u using?

First day I try to to unlock, immediately get 50%, then only I started posting all the stuff because once stuck at 50%, you are supposed to follow the tutorial on first page, flash to china developer rom. But luckily I did not, as it is not compatible, and for Kate, there is no china developer rom.

I did, however, flash it with Kate rom again. That's all... only made it like new, from out of the box where i need to download, update, enter settings all over again.

I hv aida64 and my phn wont fit kenzo case perfectly, so confirm it is a Kate

when i unlock my Rn3 Kate, its on Global 8.1.1.0

When I took it out of the box, it is this version, then I updated it to Global v8.1.1.0.
This is the rom I downloaded and flash, and now v.7.1.19

Well, can always try again and go back to v.8.1.1.0

Still cannot unlock.. 50%

maybe u can check ur firewall, and disable antivirus 1st
since unlocking needs a good internet connection
why dont let the Mi Unlock gets thru firewall?
maybe connection to the unlock server is blocked by ur firewall
but maybe only lah..
how to get to the firewall settings is a google type away
and disabling ur antivirus is just a 'normal' way when dealing with these things, sometimes

WTH... this works. So question now is, can i upgrade to latest miui or not?
