Umm, bit confused now with the fast charging stuff. It also depends on the snapdragon cpu? Cos I thought it is the special fast charging charger that is making the difference.

Stuck on 50% unlock fix
*** copy paste from first page ***
- just flash china dev rom. (not sure if global dev got same settings)
- login same Mi ID
- turn on developer options by tapping multiple times on miui version
- additional settings - developer options - scroll until you see mi unlock status, tap it and add to authorize unlock status (or whatever the button)..then you'll see success or done status.
- Now boot into fastboot, and your phone should be unlocked successfully now.

For normal use also I recommend rooting it, if u know how... to get rid of all the ads. Didn't know there are so so so many ads these days. For years I have been using rooted/jailbreak phones and ad blockers. So not used to seeing so many things that I'm not interested. Some ads even try to disguise to look like my app.

Is there a download booster for Miui like in Samsung? You can use both wifi and data to download simultaneously.

Is mi account id the same with uid on the login en.miui.com website?

On my phone, I open Mi Account app, look at the email add there, then login on website, and I see different id or uid number.

When I try to login with that email and use the unlock code, it says "current account is different from account online".. which is why I am asking all these.

I am stuck here. I do not have the folder and therefore I need to download mi flash. but where to get the mi flash?

I hv a case with era international, who runs mi store lazada... phone spoilt in a week.

Anyway, if you get Kate, like me, so darn difficult to find casing. No choice at all. Just input to consider. It depends on where you are... if it is easy for you to claim supplier warranty or factory warranty.

Well, I got stuck at 50%, then I try to follow the guide on first page, but under device manager, I don't see all the drivers like QHSUSB_BULK, so I can't upgrade drivers from there.

So I am trying other methods.

I have decided to wait a few days and try again. Some say it is because XM have not updated their server that is causing the 50% thing.
