QUOTE(toch3 @ Mar 25 2007, 02:11 AM) Sadly, no the 6110 Navigator does not have WLAN.Added on May 3, 2007, 12:05 am QUOTE(eeynhoj @ Mar 24 2007, 12:59 AM) According to Mobile-Review, it'll be out in April with a price tag in Europe of 500-550 Euros, after taxes. That's translates to RM 2,300- RM 2,530. Not cheap compared to its GPS enabled sibling N95, considering that the N95 offers more with a mere RM 500 more (I'm referring to Ori sets retailing at RM 3,000 now). QUOTE(chicaman @ May 29 2007, 06:30 PM) If it's without GPS, yes it'll sell at that price, just like the E65.But with GPS, I'm afraid the price will be pushed up to RM 2,000 and above. QUOTE(10071985 @ May 29 2007, 06:46 PM) Agreed. Very nicely designed phone. |

Since it's a navigation phone, I wonder if a cradle is included in the package, like some Dopod models with GPS in the market.
Hmm... |

The 6110 Navigator is the 1st model from Nokia which focusses on GPS and hence comes with dedicated buttons to launch GPS at a touch of a button.
I just got my White 6110 Navigator, and so far so good. Only problem is that my battery cover is kinda squeky, didn't check properly when I purchased last night. |

QUOTE(saffron @ Jun 16 2007, 04:59 PM) Supposed to be using the same module, but existing users reported that the TTFF is faster than on the N95.QUOTE(strayato.hirzaki @ Jun 16 2007, 06:26 PM) QUOTE(10071985 @ Jun 16 2007, 11:21 PM) So far so good. Maps from 2 different companies are preloaded in the phone, Route66 (KL only) and NavFone by Agis which pretty much covers the whole of Peninsular Malaysia.I can't even locate my location while in PJ, but can do so with NavFone. Maybe I should try installing Nokia maps and test it side by side with a Nokia N95. Now who is kind enough to loan me a N95? Oh wait, ericchan has 2 N95s and now a 6110 Navigator. Maybe he can compare both side by side. Really a Nokia GPS freak eh? |

QUOTE(saffron @ Jun 17 2007, 09:04 PM) The package only includes the maps for the region you bought the phone from.So if you buy it in Malaysia, you only have Malaysian maps. Others, you have to purchase them. Added on June 17, 2007, 9:09 pm QUOTE(zhumak @ Jun 17 2007, 09:07 PM) Sonyclie77, If you stay in PJ there's no other choice than to use NAVFone. Route66 does not have PJ maps.so is tat mean i only need to use NavFone? since i stay at PJ, but travel to KL very often. will tat be enough for me? sometimes i do travel back to JB and Ipoh, so may i know is this GPS service stil helpful to me? thanks I haven't tried any other places aside from PJ and KL, but NAVFone should be good for travelling back to JB. Just watch out for your battery life, as I'm not sure how long it'll last. This post has been edited by sonyclie77: Jun 17 2007, 09:09 PM |

QUOTE(edtan5 @ Jun 18 2007, 10:50 AM) hm................... Using GPS is FOC. However the maps aren't. temptations one noob question.... GPS service is FOC? juz need to purchase the map and can use liow? sonyclie: how is the batt life? You need both the maps and a receiver to use GPS. The Nokia N95 and 6110 Navigator are examples of phones with built in GPS receivers. Battery life, not sure yet. Today I switched on BT and also GPS and the drain on the battery is quite heavy. Will do more tests before I can conclude how good is the battery life. |

QUOTE(ITnooby @ Jun 19 2007, 11:18 PM) Hi, some question regarding the GPS and charges. What do you mean by use GPS is FOC but not the maps? i tot map is loaded once you kick into ur GPS??? Route66's default Malaysia and Singapore maps are free.Do i need to pay if i browse Malaysia map? If needs to pay, pay to service provider like Maxis or? Do i need to register for it? Sorry, i am too noob in GPS but going to buy this phone. Targeted it since Barcelona launch on March 2007. Hhahaha!! finally it is out. But the Malaysia maps only covers KL, not even PJ. So unless you always travel in KL city centre, the map is useless. Like faizalmzain mentioned, for travelling outside of KL, use NAVFone by Agis, which most people here call Asia maps. QUOTE(saffron @ Jun 19 2007, 11:18 PM) Included is English male and female, BM male and female and Chinese male and female voice navigation. |

QUOTE(Moutzu @ Jun 20 2007, 02:33 PM) Hi SystemWorks, I bought my Navigator Black last week. It costs RM1650.00. To me and my son the Black color one is not only cheaper than the white color one, the phone is damn cooool. According to my son, the White color one looks too feminine or girlish. What problems did you face when installing your PC Suite? Can anyone help by showing me how to install PC Suite in my DELL Notebook and then sync with the Navi? Any assistance will be greatly appreciated. I just popped in the CD, and followed the instructions and successfully installed the PC Suite. I now sync my 6110 Navi every night. Somehow I don't like the Black 6110 Navi, that's why I took the white. Or maybe I have a fetish for White phones. |

QUOTE(Moutzu @ Jun 20 2007, 10:32 PM) My problem was that I d/l the PC Suite from Nokia Europe website. When it came to the part requesting to hook up the USB cable, I did and somehow it couldn't read. Then I used the CD which came with the phone to install, everything went smooothly. Now no problem. Cool that your problem is solved. The white color model costs a bit more. 1GB Sandisk microSD costs only RM50. Am not buying one now as I forsee the price for the 2GB which currently costs RM110, will drop soon. Then maybe I'll buy the 2GB. Just curious, where did you get your Black 6110 Navigator? Yours seem to be the cheapest I've heard so far. |

QUOTE(lonewolf @ Jun 21 2007, 11:49 AM) the NAVFone is another software right?..coz 6110 already preinstalled route66. so i need to install NAVfone seperately and it will woek with the 6110 gps? NAVFone by Agis is pre-installed as well. So the package comes with 2 maps, NAVFone and Route66.QUOTE(edtan5 @ Jun 21 2007, 03:12 PM) Added on June 21, 2007, 3:15 pm bro, how do u find the batt life? can tahan 2-3 days for moderate usage? I'm not sure how to define moderate usage, but I charge mine every night. QUOTE(probiotix @ Jun 21 2007, 03:17 PM) isn't the screen a little too small for navigation while driving? Yes it is. That's why if your main concern is GPS, do consider other dedicated GPS devices like those from Garmin.im struggling as it is with my 2.8'' dopod. QUOTE(Moutzu @ Jun 21 2007, 03:55 PM) I bought mine @ Atlantis Communication, SS2. This guy, Christopher looks a decent guy and willing to consider negotiating. Darn, I got mine from the same guy as well, and I didn't get that cheap a price. But mine's White, so maybe that explains the more expensive price.Added on June 21, 2007, 4:10 pmCan someone assist me? After installing the PC Suite into my DELL Notebook and copying my Contact Directory from my N6110 Navi to my Notebook...: (a) How do I access the Contact Directory in my Notebook? (b) Do I need to hook up my Navi to the Notebook or I don't need to? Thx. How did you copy your Contacts into your notebook? I sync my contacts using Outlook. |
