NAVFone, as far as what I've explored during my short ownership of the 6110 Navigator, covers most of the major cities in Peninsula Malaysia.

KL is definitely in, and so is JB. smile.gif Not sure of other smaller towns in Johor though.

Hi sonyclie77,

Just to ask whether we can copy all the files in the original 512MB micro SD to my new microSD,then will the files in new mSD work with my navigator..Thanks.

I believe that can be done, though I've not personally tried that.

i just got my 6110 on Friday and god knows why cant i seem to get a position of where i am when i use the gps. i wasn't in a building. i was in my car and started the gps to test it out, after 20 minutes while driving the gps still couldn't detect where i was. i tried using route 66 and nokia maps both same result. does anyone here now if this gps problem is normal or is it just my phone? anything i can do to speed up to get my position?

Is your car tinted with V-Kool?

my car has no tint. is there any settings i should make or contact maxis bout this problem? how long does it take everyone for the gps to locate you?

As mstr583 mentioned, GPS has nothing to do with your telco.

The 6110 Navigator should be able to achieve a fix out of the box without having to fiddle with the settings.

The first time your try to connect, it might take around 5-10 minutes.

Try to leave it on for a longer period of time.

If that does not work, go back to your vendor and ask him/her to teach you how to operate it. smile.gif

By default, my left hand side button is to activate NAVFone and I didn't manage to find a way to change it to any other apps. smile.gif

Well glad to inform that I've just managed to change my left had button from activating "Messaging" to NAVFone or Asia Maps in my Navi. I did this by first going to Phone setting, then next go to Standby option and change the Left hand key to Asia Maps and...voila ...NAVFone is set as deafult in my left hand side button. rclxm9.gif  Phew, I was worried that I might not be able to do this sweat.gif

LOL!

Remember to deactivate the map update which actually connects to the net just download the maps, and hence incurs data charges.
