Get a well balance diet everyday. That's enough.

Pregnancy milk is high in sugar content, high probability to get GDM.

My gynae said just to drink fresh milk- those normal kinds we see at the supermarket. If you can keep it down and not puke your guts out. If not try flavoured milk like anmum mango etc.

Advisable to read the ingredients of the milk products carefully. If you're buying fresh milk and make sure choose pasteurised milk. Just my humble opinion

Previously my first child, my wife used anmum but doctor said high sugar level.. So for this 2nd child we tried frisomom, and so far no issue at all.

There's nothing wrong with fresh milk, but for my case, I drank 2 mugs daily and yet my calcium level was below average for my age range. Every time doctor see my calcium level, he'll be like, "You hate milk is it?" I said no cause I like milk and frequently eats dairies like plain yogurt and cheese.

I like fresh milk's taste over any milk powder or UHT milk, but had since switched to Anlene. I haven't tested my calcium after switching to Anlene for 10 months, but (ok, I don't know if this is connected or not) my back pain is obviously getting better. I will continue with Anlene even when pregnant. Although I must say, I hate the taste.

Perhaps you should find the root of the problem. Switching to high Ca milk may resolve some of the immediate problem, but something is not right if your Ca is twice below as you claim.

Eg maybe second opinion or lab test from another center...

calcium is one thing, Vitamin D is another.
A lot of people that takes a lot of calcium, but this calcium never absorbed into the body.

reason? not enough Vit D.

Vit D helps and improves the absorption of Calcium.

so basically you drink Milk, but the Calcium is wasted, leaking.
The Vit D acts as mediator, makes ur body absorb it. Patch the leakage.
