go get doctor's opinion first.

it depends on the health and body state your wife is in

There's nothing wrong with fresh milk, but for my case, I drank 2 mugs daily and yet my calcium level was below average for my age range. Every time doctor see my calcium level, he'll be like, "You hate milk is it?" I said no cause I like milk and frequently eats dairies like plain yogurt and cheese.

I like fresh milk's taste over any milk powder or UHT milk, but had since switched to Anlene. I haven't tested my calcium after switching to Anlene for 10 months, but (ok, I don't know if this is connected or not) my back pain is obviously getting better. I will continue with Anlene even when pregnant. Although I must say, I hate the taste.

calcium is one thing, Vitamin D is another.
A lot of people that takes a lot of calcium, but this calcium never absorbed into the body.

reason? not enough Vit D.

Vit D helps and improves the absorption of Calcium.

so basically you drink Milk, but the Calcium is wasted, leaking.
The Vit D acts as mediator, makes ur body absorb it. Patch the leakage.
