Believe me its not ur phone...back when i use digi i have almost no problem, downtime very seldom.

Port in to webe, especially peak hours, aduh load google also susah..

Hi guys, I saw the webe promo going on. So did some reading here. Basically here are few that I may concern with.

1) Unable to tethering / hotspot?
No, tether costs rm6.36(gst included), need reed TOS
2) A lot of user in your same area will congest network thus reduce speed even below 5mbps?
Yes, webe using smaller 5Mhz bandwidth, compared with other telco on 10Mhz...also band 5 seems have shorter range
3) Network not stable, may random drop?
Depends on area
4) tac code etc delayed?
If you MNP, you might have receiving tac sms, just live chat CS..it fixes most TAC problem, but I'm still having problem with my PSN TAC sms, they didn't fixed it yet..
5) Hvnt read about this, anyone facing call drop etc?
None so far
6) Coverage at city or town area won't be a problem, how about rural area?
If you're out of webe 4g coverage, it will switch to celcom 3G network

Unlimited data is not my concern as my average usage a month avragely around 5GB.

What attracted me is the free call.
5GB and lower? You might want to use other telco such as DiGi which provide attractive package...
After read few page, 50-50 deciding to go with webe or not.

If you go icom square, webe 4G can reach 20mbps. Unfortunately i live at 3rd mile, on peak hours it gets bad til 2mbps. The only time i get 6mbps at 3rd mile is during cny 1st 2nd day. After that its 4mbps or slower.

What app do you use to determine your distance from base station?

Just wonder if webe started capping users already. Used 100GB in uploads alone as I was backing up to my online drive. Now getting 128kbp/s from 8am to 1am. Normal speed only for 7 hours per day.

Talked with webe staff, was told no such throttling.
Could be local network congestion due to CNY.
Any one else having the same problem?

Yes, they said should be settle by now. After I hang up, I tried login to my yahoo account (one of the services that I set up text verification code), and it fail. Sometimes work, sometimes not.

Guys, can anyone of you give a review of the Webe mobile? I was offered the RM79 plan this morning.

How is the speed compared to other mobile providers? I use more on Internet than calls or SMS, but not torrenting or downloading movies/videos, as I have Unifi at home. And I am staying in Bukit Jalil, while working in Sunway.

4g not congest area can get 20mbps ++
