Hello, I was looking to get an new axia (AT) and happen to look at the service maintenance items, is there any thing that I can reject without voiding the warranty?
*
You can bring your car every 7th month and do only oil change, filter and gasket.
I'm going to wash my air filter soon.

Do u guy service the aircond for 30k or 1.5 year?

Perodua quote me Rm157 for it
*
Do you change your cabin filter?
If yes then I think no need to service AC, only do it when spoil.
Still I would recommend majour service after 3 years.

not normal, they over charge you.

http://www.perodua.com.my/service-maintenance/axia/30

each services they do the labor charge is different. the labor charge should be rm40 or below. maybe you can call perodua to check
*
Thanks but I'm seriously thinking to do it outside.
My ODO just hit 11k km. Insurance cover car breakdown?
Let me go get another look at my bill.
But the waiting time can goes up to 3 hours, other shops seems very fast.

QUOTE(crazy91 @ May 24 2017, 07:08 PM)
Only changed engine oil?
*
Yes, just oil change and gasket. With the way I use it's ok for me to service once a year.

Our fully synthetic oil can actually change after a year if the distance is less than 10k km. Perodua force us all to change at half year period. I just clocked 11k km but already got 3 oil change.

Lucky Perodua is still better than Proton, my friend said their service is 3 months once.

The SC near my place waiting time is 3 hours, just for one bloody oil change. The free nasi lemak and sweet kopi is not for my liking.

Still got free nasi lemak , I only got free 30sen mamee
*
Got free wifi by TMwifi also.
I like my kopi kosong but the sugar they put quite a lot.
We also got kuih, bread & toast with margarine. rclxms.gif

Because I go on weekends so maybe 3 hours is normal, which I think this way.
But 5 hours on weekdays is ridiculous.

hmm then it means change battery must also change at perodua dy... since if future any electronic faulty, they can say you didn't use their recommended batteries...
*
Start to chut pattern already.
Price their car low but try to earn back from after sales.
Lucky my Daihatsu engine is still reliable.

Only thing that bother me is engine stall when doing reverse in the morning when first start up.
During my 2nd time start up I off my AC and rev a bit, seems back to normal.

QUOTE(johnngiew @ May 26 2017, 01:07 PM)
haha.. but.. the warranty part all the while also the same, just that most ppl didn't know or misunderstood.

i think our engine can last very very long without overhaul, as long as regular engine oil change and drive carefully. modern engnie nowadays wasn't like the 70s 80s datsun days that once every few years carbon built up and all that... i rarely heard ppl overhaul their cars anymore

hmm. the engine stall part maybe u need to check with other auto transmission axia.
*
You're right also. I just feedback Perodua on this issue. Waiting for their reply.
It's a really cold day today.

I think the basic ECU will still record everything.

I knew one Bezza owner change his tyre to 15 inch, transmission spoil and he got a new replacement. After the replacement spoil, Perodua void his warranty.

Then I laugh at this guy for being itchy hand but his group of retard mods friend come out and defend him. Oh well I just laugh at his lost.

Changing wheel size out of recommended size specified in manual will sure void warranty. Not only that, it will be the reason for insurance company not to pay compensation in case of accident.

Different wheel size will stress the transmission for sure  smile.gif

Yes.

That's why I laugh at that poor noob blaming Perodua poor quality. brows.gif

Tint needs not to be dark to block heat from sun. In school we were taught that black absorb heat, remember?  laugh.gif
*
It needs to be dark in the infra red spectrum to block the heat going into the car.
Cars without tint would allow heat to go inside the car and the heat gets trap, making it very hot after prolong exposure.
With tint, most of the heat cannot enter directly into it. biggrin.gif

Not necessarily dark to block IR. Yes, dark tint blocks most IR frequency wavelength from passing through but now heat build-up is on the glass surface where tint is applied. Now, internally the heat is by secondary radiation. Last time I used metallic particle based V-Kool. It blocked the heat well but still worked for my Smart Tag. Now I'm using ceramic based tint. It is not dark as I categorized it because you can still see clearly who is inside car but it blocks even my Smart Tag IR signal. Now I have to wind down my window  doh.gif  but it is just a bit of inconvenience.

Many darker tint films cannot block this much. People may want more privacy by putting tint that is illegal but it only attract policemen  laugh.gif
*
I think you didn't get what I mean. tongue.gif

Look at the below picture. What I am trying to say is it must be dark in the infrared region.
Dark at that region will not block visible light into our eyes.
I heard about ceramic tint, those allows light to pass thru in the visible spectrum.

How much is those tint anyway?

I see  blush.gif  Price can be anywhere like like other film. I asked one shop that said that they help to clear stock for friend. No brand ceramic film and made in Korea. I think the guy was honest but whether the info he got was true or not is questionable  smile.gif. It was about RM800 for Axia. Other brand can be about the same class as V-Kool and perhaps others is even more expensive just because it is ceramic (I guess). My conclusion is that even though it is ceramic, the performance between different brand can be different too. This is what manufacturer did not tell honestly, I guess:

Couple of months ago did ask if replace the std horn(1biji) to other type horn (2biji n definitely louder) will void warranty. Anyway last wkend just replace it at a car accessories shop and is plug n play as no wiring being cut whatsoever. Just use the ori horn socket will do the trick to connect the new horn wiring. Is alot of tedious work when it need to remove rhe front bumper to place it where the ori horn was placed. So far satisfied. What make it laugh was when the technician mention axia horn sounded like kapchai horn n this lead me thinkin back when i was driving behind a car which was extremely slow for no reason then i applied horn which driver dont even bother n continue slow n steady
Mayb he thot i riding a kapchai behind him that can overtake anytime. smile.gif
What u need - a pair of good horn, relay n a fuse.

Just FYI.

It's against JPJ ruling. Don't horn when enforcer is around.
