Change to VOC is not automatic but you don;t need to change. Not mandatory. I upgraded mine few months ago the old fashioned way. The kiosk machine at JPJ can also update but never tried it and no one (JPJ staff) to ask but not many people and I just use counter  biggrin.gif

When purchased the car I think Perodua is using AXA. I thought want to use Etiqa on Maybank website like my previous car because it is easy and no need to leave home. I tried AXA online and found out the amound is the same as Etiqa. However, the SA in Perodua office quote cheaper by RM50 even though the online renewal got discount 10%. So, just drop by Perodua and renew it. This way you also get Perodua emergency service (like AAM) free which worth RM60 annually. So, I think why not? Yes, other insurance also provide this service as well now. That is why AAM cannot pay salary and on the brink of bankruptcy (not sure status now  sad.gif )

Hmm. Can use Amex card to pay?
Have 5% cash back in weekend. brows.gif

perodua sc usually do it for you also. you may find perodua to do it for u.

what i did last time was. i called a few insurance company and ask them to quote me the price. and i found the cheapest basic insurance (exclude windshield, flood... and include towing) is etiqa. with or without discount in the end u just look at the amount u need to pay, cause i notice my previous insurance even give me 20% discount,  in the end price still more expensive than etiqa.

after that go to myeg to buy the road tax. rm20 delivery charge + gst is rm9.28. delivered the next day before noon if you make your transaction before noon.
*
I got my quote for R660 base on 28k car value. You're right they give more discount if we pay more.
This Sat going to pay online to get another 5% off.

I may even drop by UTC to do road tax, since I'm a bit free during weekends.

So far your feedback for ertiga is good . You do it online ? After payment is done it will show you the detail of your insurance ? In case the page is closed d do they email me a copy ?
*
At the end of the page, they will allow you to download the docs in pdf format. They also email you but I didn't read it, seems like it does not contain attachment.

Today at company I print out into hardcopy. brows.gif
Since my car may drive into SG, so have to buy 3rd party liability.

my first one was other insurance company. i can't remember which one.. that's why i need to key in all again. smile.gif

another fun fact about my experience. i checked my quotation few times before i made my purchase. the first time i checked was insuring rm25000 at rm395.43, then .. a week after my survey later when i decide to purchase, it became insuring rm24000 at rm384.26.  saved rm10 smile.gif
*
I'm coming to 3rd year and put the market value at 28k.
I do pay more a little but I feel this value is quite reasonable.

Wait my NCD reach 50% then I'll feel much better.

Why you need gear 1? Auto don't have 2, 3, or 4 either!  rclxub.gif

Auto have, it's 2, 3 and D. tongue.gif
Outside my condo entrance is a very busy street, I need to pick up speed fast when going on to the public road.
No fun at all when I have to wait 2 min for traffic on both side to clear. cry.gif

How you know. What about 6 gear auto? What about auto car with 2, 3 and D or L and D?

When you start your car pressing on brake pedal, the auto car already considered as in gear 1 since it will move forward once you release the brake  smile.gif  Nothing is missing here  nod.gif
*

I would not like my car shift to gear 2 too early.

Our Axia with 2, 3 and D, can only set the lowest gear at 2.
Some cars with L can go to gear 1.

QUOTE(SleeplessEyes @ Jun 7 2017, 05:47 PM)
Actually no point you rev too high and too long in 1st gear. Even im using manual also, if i wanna smoke other also, i dont over rev in 1st gear. All noise but lesser power to the tyres (but maximum torque la)

For auto, if you floor your accelerator, the car may hold the 1st gear for a longer period of time at high rpm (but dont expect to hit redline or rev limiter la) before it change to 2nd gear.

Also do note that for auto, gear ratio is different than manual cause they only got 4 gears + 1 lockup.

So the first gear ratio in auto is already in between 1st gear and 2nd gear.
gear 2 = 3rd gear of manual
Gear 3 = 4th gear of manual - 1:1 ratio
Drive gear without lockup = in between 4th and 5th gear.
Drive gear with lockup engaged = 5th gear.
*
I'm still trying at max 2k rpm. Skill not good still can't coordinate left + right leg.
Miraculously I pass driving manual. LOL

Not interesting in smoking others, only interested in exiting my condo to main road at a reasonable pick up.
My place not much cars until government start building highways nearby, that made many cars drive fast.
Not to mention there is a ramp at an angle making pick up even worse. puke.gif

As for traffic light, I can read the traffic light so I don't need to rev up from a stop. laugh.gif
Meaning when the other light turn red, I just shift to D and slowly release my brake.

QUOTE(Zot @ Jun 8 2017, 08:31 AM)
When you want to drag and overtake every cars at traffic light, you start with 2nd gear .... not 1st gear. Just press on clutch, shift to 2nd gear, step on gas pedal and release the clutch. You don't start with 1st gear  thumbsup.gif

Not interested in damaging my car. rclxs0.gif

its during 5pm. hot day. and  i dont add additives.. coz my previous car after use additive the throttle body or whatever thing seems like something resisting when revving. so i dont use those additive anymore in axia.
*
Very weird. I only see such problem when it's really cold.

Nowadays when I start my car and see the alternator at 12.6V, I shift to N and rev to 2k for few seconds.
It will warm the oil in the engine a little, create less loading.

I'm not sure we have the same problem. Maybe try not to on AC when just start your car.

RON97 will become wasted money why? Not RON 97 have higher burning ratio than RON95?
For Axia FL Engine compression 11.5:1 is better to use RON97?

i also full tank shell RON 97 on yesterday biggrin.gif  biggrin.gif
*
Axia is design for Ron95.
What is high burning ratio? Ron95 have higher energy density compare to Ron97 at the same volume.

Is i not wrong that is - Isooctane
RON 95 contains 95% isooctane
RON 97 contains 97% isooctane

QUOTE
A high octane fuel such as Liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) has a lower energy content than lower octane gasoline, resulting in an overall lower power output at the regular compression ratio an engine ran at on gasoline. However, with an engine tuned to the use of LPG (i.e. via higher compression ratios such as 12:1 instead of 8:1), this lower power output can be overcome. This is because higher-octane fuels allow for a higher compression ratio - this means less space in a cylinder on its combustion stroke, hence a higher cylinder temperature which improves efficiency according to Carnot's theorem, along with fewer wasted hydrocarbons (therefore less pollution and wasted energy), bringing higher power levels coupled with less pollution overall because of the greater efficiency.

http://www.appropedia.org/Energy_content_of_fuels

Unless you change your car engine, putting 97 in Axia will give you less power.
If you find 97 give you more mileage than 95, the problem lies in your engine.

Aiyo. There is no such thing as 97 is cleaner than 95.
It is cleaner if that brand added other chemicals in the petrol, which they can add into their ron97 but not their 95.
Whatever the petrol company claims, it is additional. They have nothing to do with RON standards.

By comparing pure 97 vs 95, 95 have more power. If you use 97 and gets more power, you as the owner did not maintain your car well. Serve you right to spend more money on petrol.
