Salary cannot reach. Even if can reach, won't spend so much. Just need something to complement maybank amex and ikhwan.

QUOTE(thilak833 @ May 14 2021, 10:13 PM)
I need little enlightenment folks.
I have 3 active Credits Cards. 1. Citibank Clear Card, 2. Citibank Premiermiles (VISA), 3. CIMB Cashback Platinum.
My usages are mostly for monthly bills, insurance payments, groceries, petrol, and food deliveries.

A. Firstly which amongst these 3 are the most beneficial? (Optimal use of all bank's benefits)
B. Planning to upgrade my phone at some point and saw Lazada / Machines provides 0% interest for Maybank cards. Which is the best card that can be used for all my type of use above? I'm possibly looking to focus on substituting to just 2 max cards overall.

Appreciate your comments.

To be honest your cards sucks. Don't know what you want with your cards (Do you want cashback or airmiles?)
If airmiles best card is Maybank 2 Primer card (use amex only. Nothing come close).
If you want cashback definitely the above cards are lousy.

Ask your questions here.

A. I will say none of the above us useful.

For cashback
Petrol - Maybank ikhwan gold, Maybank ikhwan Petronas, Maybank 2 amex, Public bank visa signature, Maybank visa signature

Grocery - Maybank ikhwan gold, Public Bank Islamic MasterCard, Maybank 2 amex, Public bank visa signature, Maybank visa signature

Bills - Public bank Quantum Mastercard, Public bank Islamic visa platinum, Public bank Visa signature deposit into Bigpay and and can use for bills payment up to RM1k
For bills go that respective card thread and see if they accept insurance or not.

Food deliveries -
Public bank Quantum Mastercard, Public bank Islamic visa platinum, Public bank Visa signature

Wave - regardless of category
Public bank quantum visa card.

For airmiles
Maybank 2 Primer card (use amex only. Nothing come close).

depend which council, else, just use those card that give cashback for gov txn like OCBC

QUOTE(thinseng88 @ Aug 22 2022, 05:14 PM)
You may look into OCBC Cashflo Mastercard.

For transaction of RM500 - RM1000, it will auto convert into 3 months installment as well.

For transaction of RM1001 and above, it will auto convert into 6 months installment as well.

Any transactions are entitled for 0.5% cashback including auto convert installment transaction, and government transaction.

if u have OCBC WMC is 1.2%, OCBC Titanium 1%..

even if 0.5% still better than nothing if u use bank transfer...

I am leaning more towards OCBC Ti.
But not sure if there are cards lgiving like 3-5% cash back for all this cukai.

that's depend on which council u paying...

some platform like Lazada, zcity, Shopee can let u pay council bill, then, it will be 3-5% cashback if u pay direct with ur credit card / top up to their wallet (if the card give u cashback for ewallet)

Ah. I do t think MPK is inside there. sad.gif
Later I go home time I check.

Just curious does Citi Simplicity Mastercard as good as per your mentioned?

You will only get cashback if you pay the minimum. This is a big no no when you come to credit card. You pay on-time and in full. Never ever pay the minimum.

Annual salary RM70-80k/year
Annual fee: free or free with swipes
Cashback required 4-5% for dining without stupid stuff like spending min RM100 or need say RM3k/month spend.

Wondering any good CC in 2024. I’m open to any suggestions.

1. Annual Income: RM100K

2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: waivable or not too expensive

3. Card required for:
Cashback/rebate
Petronas (<250/month)
Insurance payments - 250/month
Retail (as a backup to Amex)

Or
Good reward points redemption (best if can convert to cash voucher)

4. Existing credit cards (if any):
MBB 2 Plat cash rebate platinum (visa and Amex)
HSBC Plat Visa (currently using, but rewards seem like not attractive )
PBB Quantum (feel like throwing away these 2 cards…)

5. Interested in CC from: Maybank Visa Sig, UOB One Classic, HSBC MPower , open to other suggestions

6. Others: thank you
*
Affin duo visa (don't activate the MasterCard) can be used to get cashback from insurance. Not much better than nothing. Maybank Petronas card I think 8% cashback on petrol?

Public bank always have promo. Look out it. Might be worth keeping.

Thanks for the advice ! Let me take a look at Affin Duo and Maybank Petronas. For Maybank 2 Card , they still charge me RM 25* 2 cards even though I never activate another card 🥲 having bad experience with PBB app
*
I never even use pbb app. If you do lots of online transaction Maybank ikhwan amex is a very good card for online retail transaction.
