RM 60k can qualify for Platinum which is 2x access, 5x access is for VS and requires 80k.

Thanks. Basically it is the same as Ambank Plat with 2x access. Since I wont be using this card for other purpose.
*
Yes, that's right but BonusLink card is free AF for first 2 years and subsequently will require 12x swipes.

Annual Income: RM36K to RM40k

2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: Does not matter

3. Card required for: PTPTN repayment

4. Existing credit cards (if any): None

5. Interested in CC from: Any

6. Others: I am looking for the best card to get either cash back or collect points.
*
Maybank2Cards and CIMB CR. Use the AmEx from M2Cards on weekends or CIMB CR (any day) to pay using PTPTN website and enjoy 5% cash back. AmEx is capped at RM 50 while CIMB CR is RM 30 for online transactions.

I wonder how the full repayment discount works, will it be repaid back into my account or the deduction is shown immediately upon payment  hmm.gif
*
OK, I thought you meant monthly repayment. So, it is full repayment. You will need other general cards like SCB Gold, HLB Essential. Search back this thread, fly126 has recommended many times.

1. Annual Income: RM24K to RM30K

2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: No.

3. Card required for: buying stuff with installment (rm1k++)

4. Existing credit cards (if any): Nil.

5. Interested in CC from: which ever easy for installment etc

6. Others: not gonna use it much, probably a one time usage or maybe for petrols
*
Installments based on merchants as well. You will need to check from them for the accepted cards for installments.
I don't recall many banks have 0% installment now, that means those you purchase first and convert into installments.

QUOTE(Eve90 @ Apr 9 2017, 12:43 AM)
1. Annual Income: RM60K to RM100K

2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: Must

3. Card required for: Petrol, Cash Back/Rebate,Free LCCT Lounge Access

4. Existing credit cards (if any): Maybank2Cards

5. Interested in CC from: Any bank
*
M2Cards is good enough for petrol. Else, you can add Maybank Ikhwan MasterCard and Visa for petrol.
For free PPL access, you can try AmBank cards - VS, Plat and AEON cards. AmBank cards are free AF but AEON Gold cards can be easily waived with 12x swipes. AEON BiG Gold also has petrol cash back.

hi hi

1. Annual Income: RM34K

2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: Yes, but fine with 1 swipe per month

3. Card required for: Online purchase cash rebate, Umobile telco bill and other household utilities bill rebate if possible

4. Existing credit cards (if any): UOB One Card and VOX card (which no longer has ANY rebates =( )

5. Interested in CC from: so far I noticed that CIMB Master Card (forgot its full name) seems to suit my needs, but any other even better alternatives to recommend?

6. Others: may be as secondary card for petrol rebate to my One Card which has 5% on weekends

thank you very much in advance
*
PBB Quantum is also not bad and free AF. Most likely it will follow PBB VS' flexibility in term of online payments which should cover your expenses but only limited to RM 30 cash back per month for online transactions.

I supposed you meant CIMB Cash Rebate but it has no cash back for mobile and utilities bills.

Else, just apply Maybank2Cards and use its AmEx during weekends and earn 5% cash back up to RM 50 cash back per month. It covers all types of transactions, online and retail transactions and free AF.

Any recommended credit cards for weekday cash backs?

It depends. Petrol you may check out UOB One and Citibank Cash Back Plat but they have AF.
Else, you can apply Maybank VS and use for first year for free. biggrin.gif

Is there any huge difference between gold status n platinum cc holder🤔Seems like similar from maybank2u website😁

I read from sc website they got annual fee, how can we request for waiver😁

Anyway tq for your help😄
*
Yes, Maybank strictly sticks to 60k per annum.
For me, I will appreciate the shared hotline for Plat and VS, at least I don't need to go through normal general line. smile.gif

Can consider CIMB Cash Rebate too.
Or maybe UOB YOLO but it has AF, however free for first year. Can at least use for first year.

Check out their respective threads for more information.

Oh btw, I need a Credit Limit of RM20k+ as well as I'll be buying the airplane tickets from Malaysia Airlines at one go..

fruitie I remember you mentioned that we could transfer our CL to other cards right? I got a MBB Ikhwan Petronas Visa and MBB Ikhwan Gold MC, each with 6K credit limit

If it's still insufficient, could we request for a higher CL?
*
Er.. I didn't say this... You must have misunderstood me.

If no missed payment for PTPTN, you will still have chance to apply credit cards.

Hmm. Just went to their website. I noticed they've this American Express card too. Any difference with the 2 gold card? I'm sorry. I'm new to this. But why offer 2 cards? Most of my friend owning two cards only end up using one.
*
Big difference. Standalone AmEx has no benefits. Just get the M2Cards and only use AmEx, the other one can lock in drawer.
Why offer two cards? Gotta ask Maybank then. It's actually Maybank expects us to use that Visa/MasterCard when AmEx is not accepted. However, since we know it has no benefits, then most of us just ignore it and use other banks' Visa/MC which are more useful.

I already have maybank ikhwan. Recently i applied for maybank2cards but was not approved. Anyone know why?

I always pay my bill on time. Is this why they did not approve, because they they dont earn any interest from me?
*
Try appealing again. How did you apply by the way? Online or walk in?

Perfect.

I have two silly questions (excuse me as I'm still new to cc as well, less than a year):

1. After/reaching card expiry date, will bank automatically renew our card or we need to call them to renew and do they need all documents again (payslip, ic, epf) ?

2. After using our card for few months, suddenly we get fired and don't have any work/salary, will bank take back the card or we can use it as usual ?
*
1. Banks will auto renew and send new cards, no need to call them.

2. They won't know you have no job... So, they won't take back.
