With annual income RM 30k, I suggest apply CIMB e Credit Card. Reload eWallet using this card on 10th of every month to get 10x points. Then use eWallet for your spending transaction. After accumulate 20,000 pt (RM 2,000 transaction) , you can redeem RM 50, which is equal to 2.5% cash back. However, this card annual fee is RM 100 with first year waive, waived subsequent year for total annual spend of RM12,000. Maybank card is good, but no cash back and treat point if you spend via online or reload eWallet.

Hi, looking to replace my existing cards with some that actually suits my needs.

1. Annual Income: ~RM100k

2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: Preferable (unless cash rebate/benefits are worth more)

3. Card required for: Petrol (200-250/mth), insurance (400-500), e-wallet reload (300-500), F&B, medical

4. Existing credit cards (if any): CIMB Cash Rebate Mastercard, Maybank Barcelona, Maybank 2 Cards
5. Interested in CC from: NIL

6. Others: Planning to replace all of my existing cards - CIMB: can't hit 3k spending to get the measly 5% cb for only petrol, Maybank Barcelona: 1% no longer worth it, Maybank 2 cards: Most places I frequent do not accept AMEX so I've given up at this point
*
Perhaps you can try Public Quantum Master, top up ewallet get 5% cash back. Then use e-wallet to pay petrol. For F&B, medical, if the payment can wave, then use Public Quantum Visa 5% cash back (min. transaction RM 30 to entitel). Insurance, can pay by e-wallet? Else can try Affin Duo Visa cash back, auto-billing 3% cash back.

6. Others: Need a card to replace CIMB CR. I use PBB QM first, upon maxing out RM600 (usually maxed out) I will use the other card to top up e-wallet. Monthly CC bill around RM1000-2000 (all cards)

Can use Affin Duo Visa Cash Back, e-wallet reload 3% cash back, or Affin Visa Signature, paywave 3% (transaction not exceed RM 250 to entitle)

3. Card required for: alternative card for daily spending, high cashback/point would be perfecto

4. Existing credit cards (if any): HSBC Premier, Citi Prestige, AMEX Platinum

5. Interested in CC from: No idea yet

6. Others: Just received Amex Plat and plan to cancel Citi Prestige. HSBC Premier for auto debit transaction only. Thinking to get a spare card for daily spending, in case merchant doesnt accept amex

Thanks alot in advance!

If most of your spending under retail transaction instead of online, for point conversion (air miles), you can use Maybank AMEX RESERVE.

While for cash back, you can use paywave transaction (Public Quantum Visa RM 600 cash back 5% capped RM 30 per month, Affin Visa Signature less than RM 250 transaction, RM 2,667 cash back 3% capped RM 80 per month).

If you want unlimited cash back, can try Hong Leong Essential, <RM 7k is 0.4%, more than RM 7k is 1%.

For daily use by paywave, can use Public Quantum Visa 5% cash back, RM 600 get RM 30 monthly without minimum spending, for petrol you can use Public Quantum Master to reload into e-wallet, online transaction RM 600 get RM 30. If you want to use for furniture instalment, auto debit? Perhaps Affin Duo Visa Cash Back? Not sure about it.

Hi is the maybank visa signature still good to get? I'm planning to get one. Is the valet club still applicable for this card?
*
Valet club i am not sure, didn't study about it. But in overall if you satisfy with 1% cash back for normal retail spending, it is still good. If you spending less than RM 250 per transaction, you can check Affin Visa Signature (Paywave) or Public Bank Quantum Visa (Paywave)or Master (Online).

MBB Grab credit card, each top up RM 1 can earn 5 grab reward point. 165 points = RM 1 offset
