Bank Islam 4% still available? I have a couple of FDs maturing in coming week.

Anyway, since I already moved money to my BI account today, might as well go there to make an OTC FD and have lunch around that place. Will open another BE account for online FDs later as well.

Doing my FD at BI now. Why everytime they want to ask my money came from which bank?? Surely they can see from their system. Anyone encounter this before?

Wah Lau...I think I stay away for now. 😅😅😅 Stick to my BI OTC FD. After all the bad experience with Bank Mualamat, the MBSB scandal, Affin also on my hate list. I don't feel.safe.

There is no snap button. Just follow instruction what too far or too close and it will automatically snap when get a good photo.

If your RM not willing to give details over whassap. Ask branch manager to get you a new RM.

Don't want to put too much in MBSB already...moving out from it when matured.

Just to share something about MBSB. My first combo FD with cash lock in matured yesterday. (5.72% / 0.05%)

The FD principal+interests was credited into my account YESTERDAY, which is correct. But the locked CASA part is only seen as total in "Current Balance". It was not released to the "Available Balance" yesterday. Today, i checked again and the locked portion has been released to the "Available" balance, but there is no transaction history. I find this a bit unclear and hard to keep track. There is nowhere in the system i can see the individual locked CASA for the specific FD. Does other bank do it this way?

Guess this is why i always prefer straight FDs. No effective rates BS and play locked balance game.

Actually, OTC is one way for them to try to sell you Investment products because they can meet you face to face, where they make the big bucks. But Banks like BI, bodoh bodoh, just do FD and the Customer Service don't do anything extra. Which is good for people like us....lol.

This is why some banks have special promo on weekends for OTC FDs...(OCBC loves to play this game, but the rates sucks so bad, why bother to go...lol).

Just be sure to check your account regularly BM for additional records or deleted records after they updated their system...

Hmm..can't even login to my BEU now. Biometric processing just keeps spinning. Doesn't gives me much confidence to place FD with this app.

Apparently it needs update ..but it hangs a long while before asking me to update. After update, want to check out the FD function, press the button there, it turns yellow but nothing's happening. Gave up.

The way i see it, it should be stagnant. Unless USD cut from 5% to 1%

Found out whats the problem...stupid app design.

WRONG=>Home Page->Thinking about BEU Term Deposit (More Details)->Promo Page blah blah (Join Be U Term Deposit-i) = Doesn't do anything. This is basically the same web page you can see on your PC browser...except when click that button it shows a QRCode to download the app, which makes sense in PC web browser, but not in the app, which doesn't shows a QRCode, just no response.
