Fpx gives higher rates but it is only for 3 months and longer. Direct from CASA interest rates are lower.

If you are a Red Carpet member, the rates you get from being a 'valued client' is the same as the eFD rates so no extra value for being a privilege client from PBB.

I also did 5k for 2 mths with Mbb Islamic fd and it says i got 3.5% as well.

Had to fill in all the details about myself and my employment (hope i don't have to do this all the time).

They got a strong name so they don't feel they have to compete with the smaller banks

I think RCB has 2 levels - gold and the elite. One is minimum 300k and the other 1mil inside your PBB accts.

The higher one (1mil above) gives us a refund on parking fees in the nearby parking center (in Mont Kiara).

In PBB, if you have 1mil in a joint acct, both the names in the joint accts are deemed to have qualified for the higher limit (1mil).

PBB is very stingy - always nothing to offer but they have a lounge with a few tv screens and drinks. Also if you withdraw or deposit bigger sums of cash then you have the privacy of the lounge. Also Chinese New Year they definitely got new notes

I put quite a lot of funds in PBB eFD.

I just notice that my fd is split into two different parts - Islamic and Conventional fd. Before I normally click on the Fixed Deposit tab to look at my fd. Now i also need to click on Islamic Term Deposit as well for the rest of my fd. Very troublesome having two different areas to check.

Totally agree.

The rate should be shown with the amount (as well as the fd term) before we are asked to confirm the transaction. Most of the eFD would have that as a minimum standard.

I have 2 e-fd maturing today with Maybank - one was for 5k and the other 18k.

When i tried to uplift, it says please authenticate with Secure verification through the MAE app. I got a message on my mobile to approve the transaction. Tried to approve but the MAE app kept spinning (looks like MAE app has hung). Tried a few times but MAE doesn't want to open.

This is real shitty as i have a lot of short term fd with MBB. I tried restarting my phone several times but cannot get the MAE app to open so that i can approve the transaction.

I rang up Maybank customer service and they indicated there were problems this morning. Told me everything is rectified now and to un-install and re-install app.

App is now working.

Wasted so much time!!
