nowadays, cimb have done a smart move. many people seek for 3 months fd with high interest. now highest is cimb 3.3percent fo 3 month fd.

in my opinion, dont place 6 month or higher fd . the interest rate will keep going up by next year.

but 0.45% differnece for cimb efd for 3 and 6 months. can take in 2times 0.25% bnm typical moves. haha. so not so bad if those opt for efd, which is highest online fd for now.

Hi, I read others have similar issue. I tried to place online, using web browser, cimb fria maturity 3 months for the promo. Choose add to principal and add to account, both also return error. CLK01643 encountered unexpected error.
Any idea what's the solution? Thanks

After posting the above. I change from Firefox to Chrome and it works.
Just to confirm, the rates shown is 2.70%. Promo will be bank in upon maturity? Or is there someelse to go to get the promo rates?

cimb online rates, 3mths 2.70% is the nominal one - this one is what u get if u go into clicks like normal.
u can get higher than!
eFRIA-i gives 3.2%; eFD gives u 3.3%.

I recommend MBSB lah, best rates online without going counter. Only lose a bit to Bank Islam OTC.
