I just opened an FD at SCB but it says Flexi Deposit. What is the difference?

2. Say i want to used FD of Ambank but .. dont have any Svg or Current .. do i have to open the account first ?
3. The FD submission Can it be done thru online application ?

hi All, did any one take the citi bank offer of 3.55% for 12 mths  for deposit of  rm 400K or higher.  this is pure FD & not a bundle. did anyone try it ?

Opening SA is fast wor. half an hour or so. But i have problem transfer from my RHB bank and forgot the password to the other bank. so can't transfer. The CS also said Maybank cannot do transfer for new account, sincee i have no money in Maybank now, didn't try.

Looks like gotta go back again.

As for questions they asked, actually not that bad. CS helps me fill up. Affin is the worst. Like need to fill 10 pages of NDA. Bank Islam way better than Affin. I am going to close my Affin account once my FDs there matured, unless got super promotion.

Standard & Charted Bank 3 Months FD + Saving Combo Promo

Option A: To Place RM 300000
(1) RM 200K at 4.88% for 3 months = RM 9760 interest per year
(2) RM 100K at 2.9% board rate for 3 months = RM 2900 interest per year

RM 9760 + RM 2900 = RM 12660 total interest per year

RM 12660 / RM 300000 = 4.22% per year effective rate
Option B: To Place RM 250000
(1) RM 200K at 4.88% for 3 months = RM 9760 interest per year
(2) RM 50K at 2.5% for 3 months = RM 1250 interest per year

RM 9760 + RM 1250 = RM 11010 total interest per year

RM 11010 / RM 250000 = 4.405% effective rate per year

Option B is a better choice, right?

I heard this promo has to take 2 days to get effective even if rentas or submit banker's cheque, this means depositor will lose 2 days interest, correct..?

MBB must be the most inefficient bank, every promo sure got problem. They shud just return to the stone age and forgo online banking as their people suck at IT apps

Those of you who took the FDs with Bank Islam without opening the Savings Account, can you register for Online Banking?
