my RHB e fd matures today and i tried to uplift it but the interest is not credited into the amount..only uplift the principal..
is this correct? i placed on 11 nov 2021- 11 nov 2022 matured..like lose 1 day interest. I dont have this issue with HLBANK

Physical Fixed deposit will reflect in the online bank system? never done physical FD before.....

Normally I'll immediately check my balance online after i perform cash Deposit thru ATM, to ensure that the cash that i banked in reflect in my online banking...

So you may always check online immediately after perform the FD over the counter.

1) A savings account is required to be opened to credit the proceeds upon maturity. ("dulu tak perlu, sekarang must").
2) If placement is by cheque whether personal or Banker's, the FD-i will only be effective the next working day. However, the depositor can get the certificate on the day of placement itself.
3) Placement via online transfer/RENTAS into savings account - same day effective date.

To avoid losing 1 day interest using cheque placement, open a savings account before FD date, and online transfer/RENTAS in on FD date.

Opening savings account was quite efficient. They have some experienced staff. Very friendly.

Hahaha wondering if u are in kuching, the same happened to me twice when I did mine in kuching satok branch. Yesterday even worst, I got 1 of their efd due n transferred out the money to another bank so that it would become fresh fund when I transferred it back for its 4% fd. I enquired at the counter if they would allow me to place the fd if I transferred back the money, really as expected they said cannot since the fund was originally from the bank! After much hot argument n seeing the top management, I was allowed to place the fd with condition like shifting matured fd from other banks to them! After that I was even left unattended by them after I transferred the fund over until I made noise! Did a complaint with their customer survey after the fd placement. Really senseless not to welcome back the fund!

looks like islamic bank(Bank Islam,Bank Mualamat,Bank Rakyat,MBSB) is completely crushing non-islamic bank in FD rate.

I used to place in Bank Muamalat and Ambank at 4.5%, still have not seen any with such returns yet

6% sound a bit too much, I think the best could be 4.8% maxed, next year

People would be screaming cuz the loan will be too much for them to handle

Depends if US feds is able to tame the inflation or not. So lets see, hopefully the interest goes up

Seems Bank Islam still not change their rates for 4.4% 18 months and my FD of 1 month is up on Thursday. Made the wrong bet. Will go all in this coming Thursday.

So best rate currently still from Bank Islam for 12 mths? any new promo from other banks?

PBB fpx placement for 15 months n 18 months, interest will be paid 6 monthly. This makes a lot of difference when compared to interest paid on maturity.
