Sun Tzu wrote "where the army is, prices are high; when prices rise the wealth of the people is exhausted". Inflation is a result of war and this may influence interest rates.

After my funds entered the MBB twilight zone a few times last year, I have boycotted placing FD in MBB via FPX. I have also heard from other sources that MBB will not invest to correct its system weaknesses in FPX as this transaction type is to be replaced gradually. Not so sure if this is correct.

MBB rich fat and lazy so couldn't be bothered. That's why we need to boycott or use it as last resort. See how many comments already here on lowyat yet tidak apa.

QUOTE(uglyduckling422 @ Dec 13 2024, 09:51 AM) https://www.cimb.com.my/en/personal/promoti...ASAAEgLWAfD_BwE TIA as a product has no PIDM protection so less safe than FD. Basically do you trust this bank, for example, TIA is also offered by Hong Leong. So generally placing small sum for short term could be risk managementnoob question. saw this cimb promo. is TIA-i safe to be place? |

QUOTE(lilsunflower @ Feb 4 2025, 02:14 PM) No, I placed more than 10 during the recent campaign period. This is the first time it's been a blank page for me. I helped my Dad place 1 just 10 minutes before mine and no issue. Based on past experienceIt's been nearly 12 hours and no signs of my money and no reply from MBB to my written complaint. 1. It should take at least 3 working days to see your money in your original bank account 2. Never ever place online FD via FPX for MBB So many posts and your never learn so just sit back and enjoy the experience |

As far as i know the main difference between TIA and FD is the latter can be protected by PIDM if you have not exceeded the total amount invested viz RM250,000. Therefore the only risk mgmt we apply for TIA is to assess the management and history of the bank for example HLB has a better past than CIMB

QUOTE(lilsunflower @ Aug 2 2025, 09:29 AM) I just tried the MBB eFD-i 3.45% Merdeka promo which supposedly started on 1 August. FPX failed due to "insufficient funds" but my RM50k was deducted from UOB with the FPX reference number shown. Historically MBB FPX FD notorious for failing, this is why I never place FPX FD with MBB. Just hv to wait 2-3 workinf days for the $ to be refunded to yr UOB source a/c.I see on the campaign page that there is even a disclaimer saying: In the event that FPX funds are not successfully credited, the funds shall be refunded within 3 working days. https://www.maybank2u.com.my/maybank2u/mala...wRoCcDQQAvD_BwE Has anyone else experienced suffcessful / unsuffcessful FPX under this promo? My transaction was on 2 August, at 9am. CommodoreAmiga liked this post
